Perfect as expected

VERY GOOD.

Excellent selection of tracks, seems to be a decent transfer to CD so no problems sound wise, apart from "It Might As Well Rain Until September." I did some research on this and there is no master tape for it, as it done as a demo for Bobby Vee on an acetate disc, hence the poor mono sound. There are many very informative reviews on this CD and I can't really add more info. I got mine used in perfect condition for very little so was an easy choice for me and I also own "Tapestry". Both are highly recommended.

I shouldn't have been too surprised as most of the tracks - not all - are just Carole sitting at a piano and doing songs like a folk singer would if playing a guitar with minimal accompaniment. Those renditions sound to me like practice pieces. Don't get me wrong because I think some of the songs she has written are superb classics, it's just that other people that do covers of them seem able to inject more life into them to bring out the potential hidden underneath. It's strange really. At least there is the original recording of 'It Might As Well Rain Until September' to enjoy as more of a classic piece of early 1960's pop.Eamonn

GREAT COLLECTION BY A GREAT SONG WRITER. EVOCATIVE OF ANOTHER ERA.

Listening to the book Night Bird on Kindle audio we picked up lots of references to Carole King so bought this CD. It's timeless and professional. Good background music, well sung.

Love this collection of songs

This is a wonderful compilation of her best songs.......a couple I didn't know which was a bonus !.....having seen the 'Beautiful' show in London recently, this album is now the perfect compliment to my Tapestry record
