Edelweiss Creek3-Piece German Oktoberfest Dirndl Dress, Black and Blue

This dirndl overall is good quality. It comes with 3 pieces. The blouse, which is a crop top with elastic at neck, sleeves and chest. It is a good strong material that ironed and washed really well. The apron is lightweight, but nicely made with generous ties - I was able to wrap around back to the front to indicate my "taken" status. You can also tie to indicate single, widowed, waitress and even virgin (search "dirndl apron tie" images for where to tie).My only beef with the dirndl is that the front lacing, which as a very cool edelweiss metal loop button is sewn on with a pretty poorly tied off knot. Meaning, when I was at our local Oktoberfest last weekend, 3 of the 6 buttoned came loose during various Chicken Dances and other festivities. If you buy this dirndl, I recommend reinforcing your buttons before going out with a few extra loops and knots of thread. Luckily, because they are tied off with the lacing, they do not fly off the dirndl. Instead, they drunkenly dangle, giving the wearer an appearance of sloppiness...not cool.They have now gone through a wash and came out well on the other side. The dress and apron will require a good steam ironing before going out again, and the button issue it easily addressed. I'm overall very happy with the purchase and quality beyond the buttons.Prost!

This item had a light weight cotton feel while still having an authentic look and feel. Overall, I thought it was of decent quality and really liked the embroidery. It definitely is short and I am not sure I would feel comfortable dancing the polka in this. I ordered two different dirndls because I was nervous about the fit. I ordered this one in the larger of the two sizes I was considering. Fit was too small so I ended up returning it. I ended up keeping the other dirndl because it was longer and made of a heavier material which makes it better for dancing. If you are looking more for a cute costume than a functional outfit this is probably a good choice.

Very happy with this dress, looks authentic and fit the bill for Oktoberfest. Based on other reviewers, I went a size up. And it fit like a glove, was even able to tighten the front laces to get a perfect fit. Very very comfortable, you forget you are wearing it until you get a compliment! The material and workmanship is a good value for this dress. Although you can get a more expensive, elaborate dirndl, this looks good from a distance and also close up and therefore is a great buy. For reference, I am 5'6'' 115lbs, 34B-C. Did need a bit of ironing out of the package but that's expected.

Beautiful with detailed embroidery and soft cotton material. Careful, it does run small but not as small as you think. I am 5'6", 128 lbs. and usually wear a size 2-4 in dresses. My measurements are 35-29-36 and according to sizing chart should be an 8. This was way too big in the chest and could not be compensated for with cinching--too much fabric. I will exchange for size 6 and keep you posted.

It’s an ok dress. Not as many details as expected and the bust tie hook broke upon trying it on. The bust area is not flattering, and neither is the waist. There seems to be extra material there. It’s oddly shaped. I wear 14/16 jeans, L/XL tops and dresses, and ordered a size 18 as suggested according to measurements. If fit, but not flattering. Material was cheap for the price.

So cute and really well made. I went a size up after reading the reviews and it fit perfectly. I can’t wait to wear this for Oktoberfest!

This is a costume for a once-a-year party, so I will keep it in spite if a few dusappointments. Giving you a head's up on the fact that it is a pretty short dress and the zipper only extends to just barely below the waist line. It's not made for longer waisted ladies. The only way I can put it on is over my shoulders. I had to wash the white blousette, because the starch was way too heavy. I wish that the neckline were a little lower -- it's a little too modest. Other than that, it's a very authentic and nicely embroidered and piped dress. Cute!

The dress was as expected, although a bit shorter than I prefer. The embroidery is well done, colors true to picture.You must size up. I did and it fits fine.As an older woman, a longer dress would have been more to my liking. At 5'2", it comes right above my knee. If you are taller it will be quite short. I will wear skin tone tights under it.For the price it is a good value.Probably best for younger customers. But it will do for Oktoberfest in Munich for this year.
