Potato peeler for Star peeler

Star is the stainless steel peeler which can corrode if acidic residue is present and the peeler not rinsed and thoroughly dried after use. It is not as sharp as the carbon steel Rex version but requires less maintenance e.g..oiling The eye remover is well designed and works effectively. If looked after this peeler should last.

Very disappointing, purchased to replace a really old STAR peeler which had snapped off at the end of the blade after many years of use. This one is nowhere near as good the blade kept falling out so had to squeeze it to bend the metal a bit so the blade will stay in. The blade clogs up all the time and regularly just skids off the surface of what you are peeling. Will have to replace it rubbish.

This is not branded Victorinox . It's very flimsy, though the blade is sharp. I have had another one of these type of peelers (branded STAR and made in Switzerland) which has lasted more than 20 years.

Best peeler ever been made. Always sharp and basically immortal.

Fantastic peeler the best one ever, we lost or first one so was really happy to find they still make them, peels a treat.

This works well, good price, and it's super fast at peeling vegetables. what's not to like? Would definitely recommend it.
