I have to small dogs just under 20 lbs I feed them twice a day with this food. They are finally eating their food and licking their bowls clean!! The smell of it is not too strong at all just while mixing it once I put it down my dogs gobble it up and no longer have smelly breath after!! Also the smell of this food you have to have it under your nose to smell it once it’s on the floor in minutes it’s gone & you cannot smell it unless you are over it!! My dogs love fish & I’ve been feeding them every different kind of fish recipe I could find in kibble but none of them compare to the value & ingredients that you get in this one here its been a winner in our house!! I just crush the nuggets into a powder add the right amount of water then mix in some human food real salmon ,sweet potatoes , carrots, broccoli, pumpkin ,green beans & sometimes I put rice in it along with ground cooked lamb all unseasoned I steam all the veggies once a week and alternate the protein source every few days!! Their coats are now shiny & their eyes have changed from yellowing & greenish haze to clear looking, it’s been 3 wks now I’m very happy with the results!! Both my boys are mixed breeds I’ve been changing their food a lot lately looking for a NON grain free diet bc it does cause heart murmurs they both have low grade heart murmurs bc of grain free dog food so please beware of the dangers of feeding them that type of food!! I’m slowly trying to get them on a all homemade dog food diet bc it is so important for me that they eat good quality food I use organic foods all the time bc they are so little & I can see & feel the difference in my diet & my body does not ache as it once did or swell at all since my new diet has changed I can only imagine how they were affected by the foods they were eating prior to getting off of kibble!! I look forward to their next check at the vets & for people who dont have the time or energy to feed their dogs a good solid diet this by far is good food for them the value for your money is here considering all the toppers and wet food mixers I was buying them to cover up the kibble for them to eat it , this is much easier you can just add the correct amount of water for nuggets to your dogs bowl soak it in water for ten minutes and serve as is but I put lots of steamed veggies on top with added meats & fish that they are not allergic to and the food is soft enough for you to break it up into a powder and soak it in water and it gets softer quicker & I like to make little hamburger shapes or meatball shapes for them and they dive right in and lick the whole bowl unlike all the rest of their old foods they would eat around the kibble push it on the floor & eat the toppers or added canned meat & pumpkin but the rest of their food would be all around their dishes I got tired of picking it up & trying to get them to eat it!! It is a softer texture then kibble but I have different kinds of chewies they use that take the tarter of their teeth like pumpkin kisses toothbrushes , hard lamb rolled chews & duck rolled chews all of them I alternate and my 10 yr old dog had teeth yellowish & brown teeth for yrs & they are now white & shiny teeth in a few months time!! Every time we went for a check up they said he needs his teeth cleaned & checked they don’t look good at all , I asked how it was done and how much it would cost & I decided against it and wanted to try another way of cleaning them but never in my life would I have guessed his teeth would become white again after yrs and yrs of tarter build up!! Thank you very much for making a good tasting food with great ingredients for once my dogs look forward to eating their food!!

Clean ingredients; easy to prepare; my pet loves it; I feel good feeding it…it’s just rather expensive for a 40lb. dog. If you have a smaller dog to feed, this is perfect.

Add a little goat milk to hydrate and my Cocker gobbles it down❣️

I use a rotation diet for my dog and this is the first time using Steve’s. It is high quality and I just add veggies to it. Great product to use if you don’t have time to cook. It’s expensive but I feel worth it, especially since I always knew kibble was low quality no matter what you pay. I watched “Pet Fooled” and it remotivated me to take an interest in what I was actually feeding my dog. Right now we are using the Whitefish but will try others. Steve’s is great, can’t go wrong with this product!

I have been feeding puppo freeze dried raw for sometime. He really likes Bixby Rawble, Green Juju, and Vital Essentials.I ordered both lamu and whitefish. I didnt like how white fish smelled out of the package but he ate it. I also didnt like how he smelled after he ate the white fish. He did not eat the lamu...well maybe 5 nuggets and walked away. I left it down and he didnt return til i opened a new bag of his other food.Also both packages arrived with so much powder/food dust there was very few nuggets.This is the first brand i will say that i will not touch again. Too bad as i think they try to make a quality product.

My dogs freak out over these. I know they are fish so you can’t avoid it. They just stink so I don’t breathe when I give them to the dogs! Haha!They do shred pretty easily so we keep them in an airtight jar.

Steves is a convenient way to top off meals and easy to transport when we travel with our fur baby. Lots of options for flavors as well.

Both my picky dogs snd cats love this food. I use it as treats and also crumble it in their food as a topper.
