The shipping was fast however the product itself is very unreliable when it comes to foiling. Set on the same temperature it is either too cold or too hot- burning the foil. The temperature seem to drop and rise. Wouldn’t recommend.

Ive been bookbinding for a few years but always struggled with titles directly on spines and covers. Previous to these products being available a foiling machine was a VERY expensive outlay for a bookbinding hobbyist. I just got it an hour ago and already Ive made a fabulous gold-foil book spine. Given the hours I trolled the internet for advice on hot-foil stamping on book-cloth I am now considering making a Youtube vid on this. I think its game-changing.

It works just fine, I have no problem with it and is easy to use. I need however to get my custom logo solid brass mold and it says to drop them a message I left a question but nobody got in touch...

Unpacked to find the hole for the stamp to be fixed through is actually only 5mm not 7mm as stated. Ordered 3 custom stamps elswhere with 6mm hole and useless with this machine. There is a 1mm recess each side at the top of the hole, which they don't state, accounts for the 2mm missing from the actual hole. Screw missing on one side of the foil holder, and a disgusting rusty Allen key. Poor quality, really disappointed.

I had spent a bit of time looking into various machines. They all seemed to be very similar. I found the video link also very helpful.This is the result of using the machine (letters purchased separately) only a couple of times. Hot foil requires less time than without.What I also like is that I did ask a number of questions and they were answered quickly by the seller. If the press is wonky and not aligned to the grid, use the Allen key to loosen and adjust the angle (can also adjust the height).

Great machine, does what it says except the main square plates are not lined up with the grid on the bottom plate so you can’t use the grid to line up things, I don’t know if it can be corrected.

Well made, compact and solid construction fitted with U. K plug, nice aluminium base with engraved grid. Comes with small sample of foil sheets, spare fuses & tools. Easy to put together just attach handle and foil holder. Has advesive to attach stamp, otherwise there is a slot to allow stamp to be bolted on. Simple to use select temp allow to heat until light turns green. Impression was good, I'm very happy with it.
