The first time on CD, for two best-selling albums from Enoch Light and his Orchestra. Featuring the chart-topping album "Stereo 35/MM" & "Far Away Places" digitally re- mastered. Enoch Light was conductor of his own orchestra who also produced a string of Best-Selling experimental stereo percussion albums in the 1960s. "Stereo 35/MM" was a chart-topping album in the USA Top Album chart in 1961 where it remained at No. 1 for 7 weeks. It was recorded on 35mm magnetic film and "live" at Carnegie Hall. "Far Away Places" features songs from "far way places" such as "Waltzing Matilda" and "Lisbon Antigua" taking the listener to foreign land via exotic percussion. Both LPs are appearing on CD for the very first time.

Hi-Fi nostalgia
Great CD! I had the LP back in the 60's; this CD brought back what I loved about the album.

Another great release
Enoch Light comes through again with a "twofer" release. This IS Exotica. Excellent musicianship just shines through on this release. The transfer to CD was well done - very good job Sepia Records! My favorites: Heat Wave, I Got A Crush On You, Someone To Watch Over Me, Third Man Theme, Bali Ha'i, Mimi, The Poor People of Paris. If you like Exotica, this has to be on your "get" list.

Quality at its best
The Enoch Light style of having some sounds coming out of the right hand speakers only and other sounds from the left hand speakers only, add so much more to the reality of the music. The purity of the sound is also the best

Great Innovative Sounds of the 60's
So happy now on CD. I owned the original LP and loved it. Enoch Light & the Light Brigade were pioneers in the field of electronic instrumentation and stereo sound. The clear channel separation with one track leading to the other and back is still simply amazing!

Great music and great sound!
I used my own turntable to re-master an old LP because I liked this album so much. When it came out re-mastered on CD, I "upgraded" and it is great. The stereo separation is wonderful--listen to this in the car and you won't believe it!

Purchased 33 album years ago.
I enjoyed the Stereo 35 MM album for years and it sounds as good as ever. Far Away Places is a nice addition.

Enoch Light, light years ahead...
The 24 tracks here come from 2 albums dating from 1961 called Stereo 35/MM and Far Away Places. The sound achieved on the first album is intense making you feel as if you were right there with the musicians. The music is film related and is now of its time with wonderful orchestral pieces from many of the great composers of the 20th century. The second album takes us around the world and provides so many different musical sounds and the inclusion of voices, exotic percussion, harpsichord and wonderful stereo recording. All of this adds up to a musical e pertinence not to be missed. The original liner notes are reproduced and the sound transfers are excellent. Price wise a good deal and another thumbs up for Sepia.
