Jim Dunlop MXR M288 Bass Octave Deluxe (11288000001)

Great pedal, beautiful octave sounds and the mid boost makes it stand out in a band situation

MXR pedals are really well made and sound amazing - this tracks really well with the bass and combined with a MXR Envelope filter gives some amazing sounds

Takes some internal tweaking to get the most out of it in my case.

Works great. I like house it when playing in the upper registers.Seems to track well all over the fretboard.

After much research I chose the MXR M288. It has good reviews and solid build. It's not the cheapest out there though, so if you are a tight wad look at the many bargain basement cack thats out there. It adds the boost to my sound, I only gently mix it in to give that thicker bottom end, and it enriches my top end slapping and popping. I hate effects on bass as I am somewhat of a purist but this certainly adds to the sound rather than replacing it. Use it wisely. Its excellent for the price. I shall be definitely sticking with MXR gear if I need anything else.

This pedal should be on everyone pedalboard!

The colour

Tried various others but if you are looking for a monophonic octave pedal to use with a guitar this is the one. Tone is great and none of the delay I can sense with the digital pedals.
