Solar System Playdough Sets for Kids Ages 4-8 Educational Gift for Boys & Girls

I bought this as a gift for my six year old grandson who absolutely loved it. Not only is it a fun learning tool, it's also a good way to spend art time!

It's a great idea behind this play dough. It could be a good early learning tool for kids to understand the universe. But the reality is, kids don't care too much about it and they prefer some dough with dinosaurs or food style. If you really want to teach kids the solar system, read them a book, it will 10x effective than this.

It was delivered essentially, as is, and was not put inside a box so you need to pay attention because it might be mistaken for a random bit of trash (I only say this because our box and the contents were fairly squashed and literally looked like someone threw trash on our doorstep). Because of this, I wouldn't give it as a gift to someone. Anyway, it comes with some cute little pieces of dough about a finger's length each along with some cute little "cookie cutters" in the shape of planets.My daughter had a ton of fun with this and enjoyed creating her own little custom planets and giving them interesting names. She ended up taking some of her beading from her own supplies and adding them to the planets to bedazzle them. Despite the appearance, it's a great little kit.

I have a lot of students that love space, this dough set has been perfect for keeping them entertained and focused. They love making little planets and showing them to their friends.

This set is great if you want to create a permaneny dried out solar system. It provides enough play dough to create each planet. If you want to reuse the play dough you will need to have a container or resealable bag to reuse later. I recommend keeping the box if you plan on reusing the molds/cutters.We had a lot of fun making the planets. Cute gift or learning tool for learning solar system.

With no real directions it is not easy to figure out how the cutters work to be able to make the planets. The packages were a little hard to open. The play doh was soft, but that was about it. Son only played with it for a few moments before he became frustrated.

Love this! Perfect activity for kids into space theme. No harsh chemical smell and item was as described.

This is a really creative craft to have or to gift to a child that loves space or the planets. My son loves the planets. The little packs of clay you get with this is almost not enough if you want to mix colors and have different color planets. If you have other clay or play doh laying around I'd suggest adding that to this set. All 8 planet molds are included and once you make them the clay air dries and you can keep them. Also you can re-use the molds over and over so your child can get creative with the colors and things. A lot of fun and will them busy and occupied.
