Great when they work, but assembly is finicky
Pros:-GREAT sound and signal when they are perfectly assembled.-Quick, solderless assembly, with excellent conductivity and physical strength when they are perfectly assembled.Cons:-Incredibly expensive... by far the most expensive solderless system for both wire and plugs.-Assembly is finicky, and if you get it wrong, the plug will likely be ruined!READ THESE TIPS CAREFULLY:1. You should use a cheap wire stripper like the one included in the bag, and proceed VERY carefully. Using a quality wire stripper is likely to pull the solid copper conductor in the center from the jacket, especially on shorter lengths of the cable.2. The center conductor is DELICATE, so if you score it AT ALL during the stripping process, it will likely break during the threading process (from twisting, bending, pulling, etc.). As there is no way to effectively remove the copper end left in the internal threading of the plug, this also renders the plug useless. Do your very best to test the strength of the exposed 2-3 mm of conductor in ALL directions (and without weakening it by bending!) prior to threading.3. Also, in my experience, the last foot or so of the monorail cable is essentially useless. This is because you are far more likely to push the stripped conductor back into the housing than getting a good bite on the internal threads, and this will likely happen with every attempt. I was able to make one very short one work by putting a kink in the wire a ways back from the plug prior to threading.-All in all, I made about 15 of these cables (30 plugs). I had to remake 4 of them, but the others were pretty good on the first go. In the course of the repeats, I ruined a total of 5 plugs (yes, 5 plugs - about $41 worth). I think if I did it again, I might be able to do a little better, but I imagine at least 1 or 2 of every 10 would always get ruined. Plan accordingly and overbuy the plugs.I would likely use these again, but I am both very patient, and can afford to lose 10-15% of them. If that is not you, I would recommend you go with a competing product - I have had good luck with both George Ls and Lava, and have achieved comparable signal strength from these, while NEVER ruining a plug during assembly...

Best connectors lots of money can buy
Easily the most reliable, bomb proof, great sounding and expensive plugs for your high end pedal board build. Highly recommended. Every cable you make is just perfect first time, saving lots of time and frustration. One tip: when making cables always add 1-2" more than you need, to account for the part that will go inside the plug. I just redid my board with a mix of these and Lava connectors and while Lava is still great, the SIS connectors win hands down for first time perfection of each patch, and for reliability on the road.
