I purchased this blanket after I accidentally ordered an aftermarket version from Amazon as well. I compared the two before using either. The stitching was higher quality on this blanket, as well as the snaps, and the magnets used to hold the edges down were almost twice the size of the knockoff blanket. The fabric was not much different between the two, but overall, this blanket felt more substantial and of better quality. I don't know how to quantify that statement though. I kept this blanket, and installed in on my 850 Competition Series Pit Boss. It fit perfectly, and looks great. I went into an overnight smoke that lasted 14 hours on Christmas night. Outside temperatures ranged from the mid thirties to the mid forties during the smoke. The Pit Boss held 220 degrees very consistently for the first 12 hours, and then easily climbed and held 300 degrees the last two hours. All this without even using one hopper of pellets. I was very happy with the results!

Was shipped to me (from USA to UK) - at considerable expense and time for shipping - as not available in Europe from Pitboss dealer(s) although the grills are. This was an Amazon sale from the Pitboss store. Item was new, boxed and with model number 67349, with Dansons address on the box. It does NOT have any rear vent holes in the blanket. Amazon help directed me to Pitboss, who I called twice - Pitboss were utterly unhelpful. They did eventually verify that the model number should suit my PB 850G navigator but had no interest in helping me. Worst customer experience I have had in years. But I am not sure this is Amazon's fault as the item within the Pitboss box isn't what it should be? The Pitboss customer service agent even went as far as to tell me they could take no responsibility for the item; and even if I were to order it again they could not guarantee it would be correct; and told me that as they were at a different facility from the warehouse it was not their problem ! At this point I was so staggered I gave up. Rather than wait several more weeks for a possible correct, or not correct replacement I decided to cut ventilation slots through the blanket myself....... I would not recommend this to anyone for obvious reasons, it could be a fire hazard. I have notified Amazon that this item is incorrectly identified.

We used to have a Traeger with a blanket (genuine Traeger version). We now have a Pit Boss grill and find it much superior, but that's a different review. However, the Pit Boss blanket is also much superior in design and ease of use. It fits better and uses magnets rather than the fussy clips and crude straps of the Traeger version which would often come undone and were messy and difficult to clean. We really like the pit Boss blanket and highly recommend it.
