Finally, The Search For The Perfect Pillow Is Over!!I have spent years, purchasing pillows constantly to try to get one that is the right fit. I had even started resorting little 1 inch thick latex platforms to try to alter the height of pillows to make it right. I had chronic neck pain and constant sprains and I was just so fed up of waking up in pain.I was on the verge of buying yet another platform, when I decided to give these guys a try.Finally… We have here a pillow that fits the perfect height. The pillow is customisable — So you can make it the perfect height for you regardless of what your height needs are. Tick.I am obese, and I am intolerant to being too hot. So the idea of memory foam worried me at first, as I don’t tolerate memory foam well — I can’t sleep on it in summer for the heat retention. Even memory foam pillows I find hot. This pillow is cool. I’m relieved; They have a pillow case that has a cool side, and a warmer side. Something about the fabric; No gel insert or anything. But it mysteriously keeps you cool. I’d advise not putting any extra pillow case ontop of the one provided, if you want to benefit from that cooling effect.The first couple of nights sleep is odd at first but I loved it. The stuffing is both soft and therefore comfortable, but it has a bit of pushback to it. Just enough to support your neck, but still be soft and comfortable enough to sleep on. The first few nights you will have to adjust the amount of filling in the pillow to get it perfect, you’ll also have to “shape” the pillow prior to sleeping on it so that you have exactly what you want and where.The ability to do this is the pillows greatest strength, because it allows you to customise the pillow to be perfect for your needs, which you can’t do with other pillows — With other pillows, you just end up “making do” with what you get and ending up with neck pain and trying to buy more pillows. The cycle has stopped here with this pillow, for me.So for example, I fall asleep on my sides, and during my sleep, I roll onto my back. So I’m both a side-sleeper *and* a backsleeper — Both which require different pillow heights. The cause of much of my neck pain.So with this pillow, I like to make the stuffing “less” in the middle, and “more” on the sides. I fall asleep on my side, at the sides of the pillow, which I’ve made the right height for a sidesleeper. During my sleep, I roll onto my back, in the middle of the pillow… Which is the right height for a backsleeper. No more neck pain.For this reason, I actually upgraded from the smaller pillow, to the larger pillow.After the first few sleeps, you will find that you do have to “re-plump” and adjust your pillow prior to sleep, which will take maybe a minute. This is because, just like feather pillows, eventually the stuffing compresses. Re-plumping actually involves pulling the stuffing apart, over the outside of the pillow, and then if you need to re-adjusting where you’d like it to go, you can do that.Then, your sleep is just as comfortable.I can't comment on longevity as I've only had it about a month, but value for money is great because there is enough stuffing included to even make a spare pillow; It is well worth the money. I’ve saved money now I don’t have to keep buying more pillows, and also consider what you buy is enough for 2 pillows, and it actually works out quite cheap. So as for longevity, if you have one spare pillow thats not being used, then the purchase will last you double the amount of time (you just swap pillows when ones knackered/had enough). I actually live at 2 different locations each week, so this is perfect for me to be able to sleep well at both locations without forking out £100+!Customer service is 150%. They emailed after purchase just to see if I wanted any help, and were extremely helpful and responsive. You couldn’t do better as a company and, it is a smaller family type business and not a big corp business. So its more friendly. They find solutions to whatever your questions or needs.My advice really to anyone else suffering out there like I did, is to just give it a try. You have a trial and money back guarantee and if you have had chronic neck pain like me, or if you have an “awkward pillow height requirement” like me (most pillows are too high and too firm for me), then you will really benefit from giving this a go rather than keep buying more pillows. Theres no risk because you can take it back.Thank you from the bottom of my neck, to the top of it. ;) And my wallet thanks you too!

My partner finally convinced me that I had to move on from my much-loved memory foam pillow which - she claimed - was starting to whiff a little (only, she didn't use the word, "little").Giving-up my beloved pillow - with holes drilled into the memory foam for increased 'give' and for cooling - was a decision I didn't make lightly. After much research, I elected to buy the PureComfort pillow despite numerous cheaper offerings being easily found on Amazon.I chose the PureComfort pillow for the quality of the memory foam and the cooling effect of the gel-infusion of the same, plus the (surely extravangant) claims of the pillowcase being cool on one side and warm on the other.Lo and behold, the claims were justified and after some plucking and fluffing the pillow (do watch the video, you can also change the support given in different areas with a bit of kneading) can only be described as superbly supportive and extremely comfortable. The pillowcase is borderline magical; I love the cool side but my partner finds it bizarrely cold and prefers the warm side. Truly, this is a pillow for all!The support from PureComfort is superb and the product is genuinely excellent. PureComfort are kindly providing me with a free second pillowcase (though I shall also be purchasing a couple of silk pillowcases for that truly Chinese emperor glow in the morning) and I have invested in their full-body pillow as well. If the latter is as good as their head pillow, I might never get out of bed again!

I'd like to start off this review by saying if I was reviewing PureComfort, the company behind this pillow, this would be a 5* review without question. They thoroughly embrace the Amazon customer service ethos that the customer comes first. I was contacted to make sure the pillow was received ok, and supplied with additional fill with no questions asked.As for the pillow itself, it's very good. It comes well packaged, and moulds to required shape within an hour or so. Unlike many memory foam products, this pillow comes with minimal smell. The foam inside, which is adjustable if you want to add more/remove some, is new - unlike some of the mouldy old foam cutting horror stories you see with others.PureComfort also overfill the pillow to try to please everyone. Many will find they need to remove some fill to reach their ideal loft - but for myself - as someone who was used to two pillows - I found I wanted a little extra. (PureComfort kindly obliged when asked)The pillow is med-firm to firm in my opinion. Which I like. Nothing worse than a pillow that feels like an empty cushion!It comes with two parts - the inner case - which holds all the fill - and the outer. The outer feels of good quality. One side is really cool to the touch, and very pleasant at night. The other side is softer and for those who prefer a warmer feel. (Maybe as a winter side)Negatives. I'm afraid there are a couple - which I hope would be taken as constructive feedback. But also may help you make decision if choosing a pillow (I know there are a lot of choices out there!)Firstly - I find the way the memory foam "compacts" with usage quite frustrating. With a solid foam pillow, for example, the pillow will always eventually regain its shape. With shredded foam you find it tends to eventually clump together. I believe PureComfort advise you to "pull" the foam apart frequently (Like you do when first open) - but this is quite cumbersome - even worse than fluffing pillows every night!I also found that I was finding quite a lot of bobbling on the "cool" side of the cover. I'm not sure what was causing this - it could be hair gel, or perhaps friction caused by facial stubble - but it led to me putting a regular cover over the pillow - this loses the "cool" feel, which is a shame.I feel in summary 4*'s is fair. A deduction for some things which may be personal irritations, but I want to add as much detail to this review as possible, as I used a lot of reviews making my decision - and would like to return the favour. Also, PureComfort thoroughly deserve helpful feedback, for being an excellent, customer-focused company. I highly recommend you check them out.

...but the pillow case fibers tend to get caught and pull out if you have a beard, stubble or shaved head. Many mornings I've woke up with long fibers from the case stuck to my face. Fitst time it happened I thought it was spider webs.Using a pillow case solves the problem but totally dismisses the cooling aspects rendering it useless.

I've been using this pillow for a month now and I'm super happy with it. The cool thing about this pillow is that one side of the pillow is always cool, which makes it perfect for hot summer nights, and the other side you can use for other seasons!

The pillows themselves are a mix of very dense and firm, yet yielding and soft. The material feels weird at first, and you would think the individual lumps of shredded foam would lead to kinks, but it's the complete opposite. As you lay down, the foam compresses and sort of forms a unified surface where you're contacting the surface. This differs from ordinary memory foam pillows where the foam is uniformly distributed in that it allows air flow through all the non-compressed pieces of foam. This pillow never gets hot!When I watch tv in our living room, sometimes my back overheats from the throw pillow (down feather/foam mixture) I lean back on. When I watch tv in bed, these pillows support my back really well, and never overheat me. I love the comfort, cooling, and value of these pillows.
