Tarnish Resistant Craft Wire 22 Gauge, Gold Color

When I first began making wire jewelry, I certainly didn’t want to start out with expensive wire like sterling silver, half gold etc. I needed something cheap that I could practice on. This seemed to be a good option, and it had fairly good reviews too.So I purchased this Beadsmith wire in several different gauges, and colors. I can gladly say that this was a wonderful investment.PROS:Price: First of all, you get a lot of wire at a very good price!!!Quality: I was looking to use it mainly for practice purposes. But the quality is so good that you can make beautiful pieces of fashion jewelry with it.Tarnish (or not): This truly is non-tarnish wire. If you take care of your jewelry and store it well, the wire holds it’s color.Proof: I have attached images of jewelry that I have made using different gauges of this wire. And some of the pieces are about 4-5 years old. You will see that it still holds it’s color well.CONS:The only downside of this wire is that you have to be careful when maneuvering it with your pliers, or it can mar easily.GENERAL TIP:Enjoy playing around with this wire to make beautiful pieces of jewelry. But I suggest that you do not use this wire to make ear wires. For example, if you are making a pair of earrings, make all the elements of the earring using this wire. But use only premium wire (silver, silver plated etc.) to make the ear wires. Only because that is the piece of metal that goes through your skin. So in my view, it is better to use premium quality wire for ear wires, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Great wire for creating rings. The color is absolutely beautiful. I can attest these are also non tarnish. I’ve washed my hands so many times while wear my rings made from this wire, and no green on my finger and color doesn’t wear off the ring either.

I use quite a bit of wire in my projects but had not tried this brand. I needed a wire that would be strong, yet pliable. I use the 22ga wire as the "body stem" for little angels that I make. In the end, the wire has to hold around 185 crystal and frosted beads, findings, wings, head and halo, and then has to be bent so the angel can be hung.I also like that type of spool. It's so easy to wrap the end where it won't spring out and easy to grab when using it. As my 24 and 28ga wires run out, I will be replacing them with this brand. Thanks for such a nice product!

I purchased these very quickly and I wish that I would have paid more attention. This is tarnish resistant (not non-tarnish) wire. If you need to practice, and do crafts or jewelry where the wire wont be too visible, then this is a great wire. If you want something that will be 'in plain view' all the time, then I say spend the money and get the Non-Tarnish wire. All in all it's a good wire.

The wire is very easy to work with makes it easier. It bends easy but it does not loose its shape. It is really tarnish resistant, i have used it at the beach and it maintains color aand quality. I will continue using it.

Used it to decorate and assemble artificial flowers for wedding. It was definitely well put material, probably will get it again when I needed.

I ordered this wire thinking it would be like the old Bead Smith Tarnish Resistant Craft Wire, which doesn't seem to exist under that name anymore. I ordered the gold color and the silver color, and both have issues. This wire is not smooth. It is pitted and coarse and nowhere near the quality of the earlier product. I'm very disappointed, though it will work for current purposes - it's not good enough to use long term.

Exactly what I wanted actually this was my 2nd order! It was perfect for what I needed and exactly as they stated. Order came quickly would order from here again with no hesitation.
