My wife recently had knee surgery and a close friend recommended one of these to help the recovery process. My wife loves it. The circulating ice cold water feels great on her aching knee and it is pretty well insulated. She gets at least a couple hours of use out of it on every fill. It's not a cheap item to get, especially after an already expensive surgery, but the benefits can not be denied and this has been a godsend as far as my wife is concerned. It seems well built and the tubing is insulated. The directions are clear and only need to be read once and you are ready to go

Leaked at junction where water cables meet the outside wall of the box. The join is covered with vinyl slip so we couldn't see clearly what was leaking. We tried tightening connection from inside the box, nothing was loose there. On first day (post op total knee replacement) the leak was very slow. We thought we could live with it by sitting the unit on a towel inside a plastic bag, however the leaking increased steadily until by day two, water was continuously running down the outside of the cables. Returned for refund as family member had gone ahead and purchased a different product, Beluga Pro, to replace it. I'm finding the Beluga much better overall, the sensation of cold is noticeably stronger and the ice is lasting much longer in the cooler. And no leaks. I recommend the Beluga.

I would use this machine every day for a week straight for several hours a day. Rotate four frozen water bottles to keep the water cold. I finally started sleeping with this on because it helps with the swelling and it feels good. I highly recommend this product. Be careful with the pipe that sticks to the wrapper piece. If it is twisted, the water will not flow or will not flow easily. Plus, the Velcro is flimsy, but then again, I use it every day for several hours a day. The timer feature is a big plus.

Bought this for my daughter who runs cross country and track in college and this has been helping her recover quickly. She used it every after a race/meet.

I thought the ice chest was about twice as large as it actually was, thinking ice would not have to be changed as often, however it was actually pretty small, and at most it lasted about a couple hours.

I just had a total knee replacement. Icing is essential to prevent swelling and the machine is easy to use. You have control over how long it takes to turn it on and it automatically turns it off and on again, so I used it all night too. More icing means less pain medication I have to take. I bought a multi-purpose pad that covers more area to wrap my entire knee. I would recommend this to anyone.
