pretty good scooter
I bought this scooter from a box store on a whim and paid $100 more than if I had got it here on Amazon...oh well. It is a pretty good scooter as long as you are 200 lbs or less. My boyfriend was using it too and his weight was closer to the limit. Can't say much about if he rode it up steep hills often or not. But I think it doesnt go as fast as it used to. For me, (pushing 200 😒) it would max speed at 14 or 15 mph. At 16 it would automatically slow you down, or it used to anyway, Haha. What I really hate though, is putting air in the front tire!! What a pain in the butt! It does come with an extension thing but it isn't much help. You have to screw it on in a very small cramped space where the valve is recessed into the wheel. After airing the tire, try unscrewing it without letting all the air back out! Maybe get a short extension that you will leave on maybe, if that is even possible. You can't ride it in the rain which really sucks. I dont know if you can even ride it after a rain, how waterproof is it or not??Riding a scooter on the street really can be dangerous. You really need to be extra vigilant about cars, realize that they can't be expected to see you coming out of nowhere. That's why it might not be good for children if they dont pay enough attention. I had a spill on mine that resulted in a very painful road rash on my leg! This has some app you can use to control the lights and stuff, but I dont use any of that. Never even tried it. It comes with a security key thing that sort of locks it but will hardly keep it from getting stolen. There is only one, so dont lose it! Didn't find any info about getting a replacement either. There are many scooters out there and some cost as much as a cheap used car! I can't compare this to any others. If I had to choose again, I may not have chose this one, maybe something with more power to carry a heavier weight and go up hills. But anything much faster than this and you're more likely to get yourself f***ed up pretty bad!Overall, it is fun to ride (I use it for commuting to work when the weather is nice and I can tuck it out of the way on the train)I haven't had any other issues with it since I bought it. That was 2 years ago. Other than what the boyfriend has done to it, lol!So I hope it continues to be reliable and worth the money spent. I would expect to get many more years out of it. Depends on the quality of the battery...yet to be determined.Hope this review is helpful💚
