Short but very pleasant
This is my first comic really, so perhaps the briefness of the material is me simply not understanding the medium yet. However, despite the shortness of the comic, I found it to be very pleasant. It was like matching another episode of the Clone Wars in another mission.I am a very big Windu fan after reading Shatterpoint, and I believe they stayed true to his black and white, uncompromising convictions, and desire for peace. But the actual ability of shatterpoint, something I believe would be visually stunning in comic book form, should have been used in my eyes. The characters were wonderful, and we get introduced to some Jedi we haven’t seen before.Yoda looks like an obese goblin, so I’m not sure how I feel about that. But at least the comic also stays true to Master Windu and Master Yoda’s relationship. Yoda is very in tune with Windu’s thoughts, and acts as a constant companion to help Windu deal with his personal struggles. All in all, I am happy with this comic. And after reading so many Star Wars books, it is fun being able to see actual illustrations of what I’m reading for the first time. I look forward to seeing another.

Clone Wars era featuring Mace Windu
When I first saw that Marvel was making a limited series focusing on mace Windu I was super excited. I really got into Star Wars comics during the prequel and Clone Wars era. So many great stories and characters were introduced in those books, which are now non-canon. I was hoping this book would take place prior to Episode 2, where there currently isn't a lot of canon material, but this comic takes place during the Clone Wars. Which is still pretty cool to see in this new Marvel era. This comic follows Mace Windu and a few other jedi on a mission against the Separatists' droid army. Kit Fisto is one of the jedi on the mission. I always liked him as a character, ever since I saw his smiling face in the Battle of Geonosis. There's some nice touches to the other jedi as well. There is a lightsaber with a cute name. The parts of this comic that I liked the most were flashbacks to Mace Windu as an apprentice. I want that book! It was only a few pages, but it was the most compelling part of the story. This book overall deals with the moral complexities of the jedi acting as army generals. Is there a place for grayness in the jedi order? Mace Windu is a perfect character to address these questions and I liked seeing him as a young jedi jumping to action first.I want an explanation for the purple blade! The artists used the colors of the blades so beautifully in this comic. Towards the end of the book though, there is some bad art in the background. In the jedi council scenes, the council members are drawn so poorly. It doesn't match the rest of the book or the standards I've come to expect with Marvel's comics.I want to see more comics focusing on different jedi like this. I hope the Jedi of the Republic title becomes a series. I give this book a 4/5

Good comic
Great backstory for Master Windu. We know more about his philosophy now esp related to the force. Good job Mr Owens

I wanted to learn more about Mace and I did with this comic book. It was kind of hooky with how the droids interact with each other but other than that I did enjoy it. You also get to know more about Kit Fisto and 2 other characters which was a plus. Not bad but not great. The art is amazing!

One of my favorite short reads.
First off I love the cover art, More importantly I enjoyed the story and got to learn some nice background info on Master Windu. Mostly a fan of dark side stuff but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this. This book makes a strong case for why Master Windu is second only to Yoda in the Jedi council.Great Action scenes and good overall art makes this a easy recommendation. This story is more or less self contained which is great. One of my favorite stand alone Star Wars comics and a great way to understand this awesome character better.

A Solid Miniseries for Mace Windu
A pretty solid story with some cool new characters and interesting background on Mace Windu himself. I also loved the ideological conflict between Mace and a certain character by the end of the story. Unfortunately, the art suffers in this miniseries. Lots of questionable panels and character faces (especially Yoda).

Pretty entertaining story
I actually really enjoyed this series. As someone whose 25, I really enjoy reading about stories that happened during the prequels as these were the movies I grew up with. Nevertheless, this is an entertaining series and I enjoyed reading about Mace and his adventures.
