The Complete Book of House Plants: A Practical Guide to Selecting and Caring for Houseplants Hardcover – September 1, 1994

After decades of caring for my houseplants willy-nilly based on what I saw my mother do, I explored all the books on houseplants in the local library--and this book is one of the four I ended up buying. It discusses how to use plants within a house, and has distinct sections on foliage vs. flowering plants. The level of difficulty for growing each plant is noted, which I found very helpful.Latter parts of the book are devoted to how to care for plants, covering all the important areas such as light, temperature, feeding, grooming and pruning, and a very good discussion of potting mixes. Worth the price of purchase.

This seller's description was very accurate about the book's condition which was just about perfect. Mailing was prompt and was packaged to avoid damage. Would buy from seller again.

Pictures in book are dated but I believe the info is still current. I was interested in information about each plants safety towards pets but could not find that in this book.

This book is just what I needed. It really has helped me to know whether ir not to purchase a certain plant based on the carethat it would need and if I felt like I should undertake something so far out of bounds for my limited knowledge. Was so impressed by this book that I purchased it for my Xtra Mom(my best friends Mother) who is truly a plant person.

Very informative book . Would recommend.
