Salamander Designs Synergy Quad Model 248 Cabinet - Black with Aluminum Posts

After searching for more than a year for a replacement entertainment center for all my home theater gear, looking mainly in the $300-600 range, I started looking at higher priced home theater furniture such as this Salamander Synergy piece. The cheaper furniture can hold much less weight and rarely can properly fit large A/V gear such as receivers, amps, or large center speakers.This Salamander Synergy piece is very, very expensive. I only went for it because I got it for 10% off which made it barely palatable price-wise. On the plus side, it is very high quality, looks outstanding, and has tons of room for full-size A/V gear.It arrived three weeks after I ordered, with the actual shipping time a bit less than one week. It was very well packaged in two boxes which were strapped to its very own pallet. It was a bit of a chore to assemble it by myself, in part because a few of the diagrams were a bit difficult to discern what they were showing, and a couple of steps seemed to have been old (i.e. the sheet was dated 2011 but it appeared that since then they had updated a couple parts, so the instructions did not exactly match the actual parts). Total assembly time was close to three hours by myself.Overall I am very happy with this piece. It is extremely sturdy (and heavy), looks great, and will no doubt last a very long time. The price is sky high but the quality and dimensions are superior to much cheaper options. I am giving it 5 stars based on everything but the price. Factoring in the price, 4 stars.
