No smell!
I love this hair dye. It has no smell whatsoever and I don’t feel like a chemical factory when I’m using it. It’s much easier than regular hair dyes. It takes about an hour to sit on my type hair to cover the grays, and it does a fairly good job at covering them. (I’d say it covers about 90-95% of my grays.) My grays turn blonde, and my brown hair stays brown. I also do touch ups in between full colorings and it’s really easy to do. I have a few small problem areas and sometimes all it takes is a dab of color applied and combed in, and then wipe it off with a cloth or paper towel until I have a chance to wash my hair later. It’s cheating, I know, but we all need any extra help we can get when it comes to covering those grays!

Soft, shiny, silky, healthy hair for weeks.
When I use this, I can’t stop touching my soft hair for weeks. I’ve always loved these cream henna treatments from Surya Brasil. I used to buy them from my local health/natural store but I moved too far away. Truly a wonderful conditioning treatment for the hair. Accurate color chart if you do want a fresh color/tint too. Color fades a little tiny bit each wash but actually lasts several months so be intentional about the color you choose, it’s not washing out next week. I love the products and I will keep buying once or twice a year. Convenient on Amazon, too! Oh! And it’s easy to use. I’m not good at hair dying or many beauty methods, this is a reasonably simple system and the kit includes basic plastic gloves and a plastic hair cap. I have long hair, not quite to my waist, and one bottle of this is enough for one getting ood application.

Product did not work. Labels were inconsistent with contents of package.
I did not like that the page did not indicate that I needed additional products to go along with this purchase. I did not like that this product does not work advertised. I did not like that this product was indicated as non-returnable only after it was purchased.

Convenient--but not really a henna (and doesn't cover gray).
I've used henna products of every stripe for over 40 years--and Surya products for 3.At this point, I'm an aging redhead with thinning hair--and going gray, almost white, around the face.I continue to use Surya "Golden Blonde" regularly--but as a mixing medium to distribute just a small amount of another color, "Reddish Dark Blonde," around my head (in approximately a 5:1 ratio). Hoping to migrate to an overall more uniform and lighter color, I used the "Golden Blonde" alone, for awhile--which gave my gray hair a faintly yellowed (and rapidly fading) tinge. (I note, with some irony, that it's the sort of wan yellow that my grandmother used to try to neutralize in her hair with an application of "Mrs. Stewart's Bluing" laundry rinse.)The best thing about Surya is its ease of application. It's a ready-mixed, no-drip cream that goes on easily, and rinses out quickly. But note that "henna" is mentioned about three-fourths of the way down a long list of ingredients. This is a hair dye that includes a very small amount of henna--rather than a henna product (such as "Rainbow Henna") that might include some additional coloring agents. And consequently, henna's benefits are more muted in this product--notably, less shine and thickening of the hair than you'd obtain in using conventional henna. So far, I've found this a "good-enough" product where its convenience has kept me coming back. But I think I'll be returning to regular henna.

Good Product
OK so I read all the reviews here before buying this product. I used the golden blond. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and unfortunately, the pregnancy has turned a lot of my hair white, and not grey- I mean blinding, shining, sparkling white. It's probably at least 40-50% at this point. This sucks to be 32, young, and having my first baby and have so much white hair. Worse is that the white hair is VERY resistant to coloring. My Dr said no problem to using dye and I went to Aveda. Yup, didn't work. Didn't cover any of the white and cost like $200. I was afraid to try this product because everyone said it was so messy. 1) I did not think so. I wiped down my sink and cleaned any extra off my ears and forehead. Nothing stained. No stains on my towels. No stains in the tub 2) It was pretty easy to apply. I did comb it through my hair, which the directions say not to, but I wanted it to be even. 3) I left it on for 2 hours, as many people suggested. RESULT= Very good. It definitely does condition your hair. The color is darker than it's supposed to be, but I did leave it on longer than the directions said to. It covered my white hair. I can still see just a few, but this may be because I didn't get enough goop on them, or maybe they just took color more lightly so they are just slightly dyed. I will use this product again, for sure. The reduction in my white hair showing is like 90%, and I think with more applications the lightest ones will take more color.I was thinking of going with the dark reddish blond next time, because if it's going to be darker than the package shows, I wouldn't mind a little color. The Golden Blond is a little "boring" although it worked well. So, Aveda was a $200 failure, and this is a success for under $20. Not bad!

Fantastic product
Absolutely love this product! Pleasant smell and feels good on my hair afterwards. Covers most greys and colour holds for several weeks and washes out gradually (as the label specifies). Advise shampooing out after applying otherwise the colour will initially be too 'brassy'/yellow if you just rinse it out. Easy applicator which bypasses all the old-fashioned problems of mixing henna & cassia and then having to apply big globs of it, etc! This is really just like applying other store-bought chemical temporary colour (e.g. Garnier Natural Instincts). Tiny drawback is with this being a natural product, you have to leave it on quite a long time (at least an hour), so plan your time to make that work for you - it's worth it!

It’s something that don’t damage the hair
In fact? The product treats the hair. I use it for a long time. The problem you have to repeat the process every 3/4 weeks… anyway, it’s easy and works!

They mailed me expired product!
Surya henna is great, but this time Amazon sent me bottles that expired last year! I don't want to pay full price for expired products so have to go through the hassle of returning, wasting my time and energy.

I took golden blonde and my white and grey hair all turned into a green gold. It's absolutely hidious.I guess henna is only good for reds, coppers and black.I see all their browns look a bit greenish too.

Decent Henna on Hair
Got this item because we needed to get a brownish color that would come out a decent shade. And it mostly delivers. For henna it is a pretty good product. Just wish the color came out closer to the advertisement.
