We bought 2 lifeboat rings for a small lake, arrived on time and will do the job. Hopefully never need them but knowing that they are there make all the difference.

It’s okay…
The media could not be loaded. When the ring arrived I noticed some minor scratches and paint marks on the side of the bouy.I also noticed that the rope was quite loose and would degrade a lot over time.However the most noticeable downfall to this ring is that the reflective tape was extremely easy to tear and remove even accidentally.I would still trust this ring to save my life however it does need some improvements.

Considering this is EC & SOLAS approved I am not sure how good it would be if someone was in the water for any length of time. As you can see we wanted to replace the reflective bands, This is what we found after removing the first band.

Too heavy and way too hard
We bought it for a village pond, but although it does weigh exactly 2.5kg as described, we realised as soon as it arrived that only a very strong person would be able to throw it any distance and it is so hard that it would seriously hurt anyone in the water if it landed on their head. Returned it but had to pay £13.14 postage and they then deducted a further £7.80 for the original delivery. Might be OK for a lifeboat, but otherwise find something lighter!
