I am an avid jerky lover since I was a child, we have a bit of a family culture around it so when I purchased Agro I wasn't really expecting anything amazing or to love it as much as I did, but I wanted to try something that was new and interesting. I am so glad I did! I am amazed at how savory this jerky was and how delicious.What surprised and delighted me is the flavor. It was mild at first and then slowly got more and more savory as I kept eating but no lingering smell on the breath or familiar heart burn. Normally I'm great with portion control but this was a jerky that suddenly I looked down and I had eaten an entire 2.5oz pack.Normally if I was eating beef in that amount I'd get some discomfort, so I'm very happy Argo is plant based, it feels less like a splurge on the gut and more healthy. There wasn't any heart burn like I'm used to from beef jerky when I ate the same volume of Agro - that made wanting to eat it again a no-brainer because it didn't cause any discomfort in my body.The texture was very reminiscent of homemade venison jerky or sausage jerky with the mouth feel so considering it is plant based this jerky takes on more of a pressed form.Overall I would buy this again quite readily. I am impressed with the flavor and quality, and I think my jerky loving family will enjoy it too if I can save any to share. Hopefully a bulk size option will follow!

I really like the packaging this came in, and initially liked the flavor but not the texture. After a few days, I got used to the texture and really enjoy it. It also has a lot of protein and very little fat or carbs. zI do think that it doesn't really replicate anything about jerky and is in its own product category and should be marketed as such. It does not taste like jerky but has a savory, garlicky flavor.I also think the amount you get for your money is quite low compared to other snacks. Overall, a good product but I think they need to reduce the price.

Avoid this vegan 'jerky' (a.k.a. they're jerking you around) crud like the plague. After choosing to become vegan in 2012, I've tried every major brand of vegan jerky out there, and this clocks in among the worst in terms of quality and mouth feel. This 'jerky' crumbles apart at first bite and leaves your mouth dry and sad. The flavor is passable, but if you want *real* jerky texture and top notch flavor, go with Pleather black pepper vegan jerky and leave this disappointing crud alone.

I'm a big jerky fan. I like to try all types of jerky. One thing that caught my eye was the 40% less sodium. I'm all for eating healthier. This jerky is very close to the flavor of original beef jerky. It did have a bit of a peppery after taste. It is very easy to eat and practically falls apart in your mouth. The bag size is smaller than your other meat jerky at 2.5oz (71G). Photo shows the amount per bag. There is also a shot of the nutritional facts for you all to see and be the judge. If its something you would like to put into your diet as a good protein snack.

I've been trying to faze meat more to a background in my diet so I'm always looking for replacements. I haven't found a great jerky option up until now.I do hiking and camping so protein snacks are pretty important and this boast a great protein pay out. It taste great. Very savory but not ridiculously high in salt. It's a softer texture so it's easy to chew. On the dryer side and a bit crumbly but over all a very good option for those looking for a plant based alternative. Will buy again.

So, I'm really loving the packaging. It's eye catching and do love that this product is earth friendly. Another plus it's generally a pretty healthy product for vegans looking for some protein. I respect what this product stands for.Once I opened the package, I took a wiff and enjoyed the smell, which reminded me of soy sauce and teriyaki.The taste, however was not my cup of tea. The texture grossed me out. It almost felt like I was chewing on a soft hairy piece of rubber that broke apart with ease.A lot of people seem to like this product based on the reviews.. so please, if you're into vegan products or just want a different source of protein, you be the judge.

This stuff is actually really good. The flavor is awesome and it has the texture of the brigsford sweet baby Ray jerky but a little softer. I highly recommend it!

I wanted to branch out and try a meat alternative option and chose this brand because I’ve seen it everywhere. I opened the bag and was so happy to see that the pieces were very large and not tiny or crumbled. The smell was really great too, but the taste just wasn’t what I was expecting in a jerky. It had an odd texture and mouthfeel which made me feel a bit off putting from a meat alternative. My kids, however, really liked it and could not tell the difference. I’ll give it to the kiddos and keep purchasing traditional style beef jerky for myself.
