Very comfortable, will not absorb water, save my knees, perfect size!
I bought the 18 x 8 pad.. I work at a dealership, and at times...more often than not.. I have to check tire pressure, set hoist lifts, remove dashboard parts,ect.... I had an old used seat cushion that worked wonderful...but was a bit too bulky and absorbed water.. I was a bit hesitant buying this size pad 18 x 8 but I wanted it to be small enough to put in my tool box so it would not disappear over night. Once it arrived I was still skeptical as if this was large enough for me..It felt very firm and squishy. I am 235lbs and still though I would "feel" the concrete floor under this. So I took it to work and let me tell you...if feels like heaven! And it is large enough to do the tasks I need without slipping off or wishing I had more room. And it fits in the tool box perfect with room to spare. The thing I like about this pad is the handle. Easy to carry when you have a handful of tools! and the imprinted logo...why the logo? So you know which way you have been kneeling on so you don't get wet or oily... Speaking of wet....when the floor is wet and you set this down, it does NOT absorb water...however, when you place this down on a wet floor and you kneel like you're a landing airplane, this thing will slide! If you kneel slowly it won't slide. And once you're kneeling this will not move or float. This does a perfect job saving my knees and is very comfortable on the smooth concrete floor. I have used this for months now and this shows no signs of wearing or tearing. very nice

Very Happy So Far
I just received this kneeling pad. There are two sizes. This one is the larger one and is actually usable for laying on your back or side although your feet will obviously not be on the pad in those positions. My knee pad isn't a mid-gray color like I see on the picture of this webpage. It is closer to a grayish-black, but does have the yellow stripes and label exactly like the one pictured. The unit not only has a handle but also has a hole (approximately 0.25" diameter) near one end that allows you to hang it on a wall or secure it to a position (in a vehicle perhaps). The pad is soft and spongy, but has the firmness similar to some wearable knee pads on the market. I have worn a mid-priced pair of knee pads. The problem with them is that I start to sweat around the knee pad area which can be bothersome (especially during the summertime). This mat will curl slightly when you carry it using the handle, but not enough to cause any problems. I will be using this one in a manufacturing plant where I must access electrical components and wiring that are located very low on a machine. The floor surface is concrete.Since mine is new, I will update my review on wear and appearance after I have used it for a time period.EDIT* As mentioned in a comment to my review there are actually three sizes available. My pad is still holding up well after four months of use. My pad is not abused by adverse outside temperatures but I have washed it a couple times and let it hang dry.

I don’t know whether to kneel on it or sleep on it!
awesome ship packaging! Definitely a softer foam than I thought it would be! just received it so I’m hoping it holds up against the repetitive tough job I bought it for! I’ll see if I can update this review a few months down the road! I got the 18 x 36 one and it is big enough to lay on and protect your back! looks like a high-quality product definitely super soft and forming to your bony prominences!! all around seems like a great product! But like I said at the beginning I’m a little concerned about how soft the foam is and how it’s going to hold up after repetitive tough use so I will update us later

Worth the price
I work as an irrigation technician and have for fifteen years. I'm a young guy and want to protect my body by lessening the blows I take while working. I am on my knees 80% of the time over a trench or hole. I haven't been one to seek out knee-pads and would rather have a barrier between me and the ground and the freedom to move uninhibited when done with the cushioning. This extra large kneeling pad is precisely what I need for my line of work. Especially if I'm wearing shorts, it's in my hands along with the other tools on the way to another hole. The extra large size gives me more room for a wider stance on my knees and engages the legs for on-knees-bent-over work, thus saving on the back. The thick cushion allows me to throw it down over mud, rocks, goat-heads, or sharply-uneven ground and have it protect my knees. This is just in my line of work. I can see myself benefiting from it on linoleum, concrete, tile, wood, and other hard surfaces. It is large, but it works greater than anything else I've found and can see it lasting beyond a decade. I thought the price was high, but the end product has justified the cost. The only equal for me is a pair of Carhartt canvas jeans with the foam slip-in knee pads.

Glad I got the bigger size!
I use this for working on the car (washing, etc), and it is wonderful on the knees. Much better than knee pads. I am glad I got this, and will continue to use it often!

The first one I ordered had significant dents in it like something heavy was stored on top of it
This pad is just the right density which is the most important factor for me. It is all about the right amount of give vs your weight and the pressure you put on them. The first one I ordered had significant dents in it like something heavy was stored on top of it. A couple were on the edge which looked like they would quickly turn into tears. I returned that and got another with all the dents but none by the edges. I kept it as I had a flooring job to do and couldn't monkey around with returns anymore. Other than that I really like the pad a lot. It is stable yet soft enough to have some real give. I tried several others and all were too hard. It is like they all come from the same Chinese factory just different sizes and colors. The only ones as good as this were the $50+ knee and back pads but they all have both knees fixed real close together and are over twice as much. For $20 I consider these somewhat disposable to take good care of what is left of my knees.

my knees are shot. THis is the ticket for under the counter work around the house
Not much to say. Getting onto my knees hurts a lot. This pad is the ticket to performing home DIY repairs that need my attention quickly.

Like it!
Most kneeling pads are too hard. This is a bit softer and I like the larger size. It's perfect for when I'm waxing my car or changing the brakes.

If you never used one before, Don't... There is no turning back!!
To be honest, I never even heard of these large kneeling pads until two years ago when I had intensive work to perform inside a vessel. These things are a life saver... well a knee saver anyway. Since then, I would use it whenever I had long projects in tight low areas. It is a game changer. They surprisingly hold up in many conditions, even around welding with a bit of fire blanket draped over top.I ordered these when I had to complete tire and suspension work using a 34" lift, it would have been horrendous trying to complete while kneeling on concrete but with the pads it wasn't even a focal point.

I am a chimney sweep and spend a lot of time kneeling. I had tried a number of pads - both inserts inn trousers, wrap "arounds" and other kneeling mats of varying sizes. This is a bit pricey and there is an import tax as well but it's well worth the money - Dave.

Spongious.
I m heavy and it s feels great. I don t feel the floor under my knees and it bouncy a little bit so less stress on the knees. I bought a larger one because I did not want to break my balls. Other brand are to narrow for a man. You won't regret it.

Perfect for any mechanic out there
As a certified automotive technician I constantly have to place my knees on the hard concrete daily to set up vehicles on my hoist. I’ve tried different kneeling pads in the past and usually they are made out of a hard substance so they do not absorb any fluid that may be on the floor. This product is non absorbent AND is extremely soft. It literally feels like I’m kneeling on a memory foam pillow. All the other techs in the shop are jealous and are going to order their own because this is a very comfortable solution to a problem we face daily as mechanics.
