**New & Improved** Live Bait Zip Ties GEN 2. IGFA Approved

I started using these while fishing in Hawaii and have learned their value for all species of fish while live bait fishing. I now use them every week and they have helped me to slay some really big fish. Here is why I use them...1) Bridle/secure your bait quickly even if you are a novice fisherman.2) Doesn't puncture or hurt bait fish so bait stays lively.3) Bait will not come off even after getting hammered by multiple mahi strikes so you can eventually catch the fish.4) Keeps the hook positioned straight up rather than typical bridles where the hook can lay sideways and prevent good hooksets.I carry a couple packs of these in my kayak at all times. If I catch a fish that can be used as bait, I immediately set it up on a larger rod and live line it behind me waiting for big fish to strike. I have caught some monsters with it and more often then not they are hooked right through the top of their mouth and arent coming off. Easy enough to use that a caveman could do it and easily feed his family lol.

This review is for the Nitta New & Improved Live Bait Zip Ties GEN 2. IGFA Approved. This bridle system has a grooved area to hold the hook in position. It is better than a rubber band system because a smart Sailfish will bat the bait off the band with it's bill. That won't happen with the Nitta Bridle. I love Nitta's innovation, but I took one star away because the plastic needle portion is not hard enough to drive through a large Blue Runner or Little Tunny. Have a steel needle standing by to make a pilot hole.

I felt it made the bait a bit stiff on the hook and gives it a much bigger profile for the bait. I prefer to use the standard floss or even braided line. But I can't really say I tried this out that much so I will give it 5 stars on the benefit of the doubt. IT is super nice that the needle is molded into the end of the zip tie. I'm always searching around for my threading needle which is usually rusted out.

One of two package was short, 17 instead of 20. Was about to return but to much trouble. Next time will just buy from a store, cheaper.

Caught a few big fish using this.

4****'s only because have not fished them yet. From watching "how to use" videos, it appears like these will work.Will write a follow up review when used.
