This dash cam is packed full of features for something that fits in the palm of your hand. The SW006 can record up to 1080p full high definition giving you crystal clear footage of anything that may occur; you can select from a hand full of other video qualities but 1080p is the best and most useful when needed. You can set the camera to show a time, date and GPS stamp so you can prove your footage validity when using it as evidence. The camera does what is known as loop recording, this means that once the memory is full it will wipe the older footage and replace it with new footage. You may think that this is a bad thing as if you have an accident you want to make sure the footage is safe, rest assured, should you be involved in an accident the built-in g-sensor will trigger and lock the appropriate footage so loop recording will be unable to record over it. Included with the SW006 is some software (stored on the camera itself) which enables you to view all the camera video footage back on your computer. This footage will show the journeys on a map and give you all sorts of information such as journey time and speed. This can be useful again for evidence to prove you are a safe driver and that you were not at fault in an accident. If you get the SW006 professionally installed you can have the option for the camera to turn on, record and turn off again with the vehicle ignition. This means you will never have to do anything to the camera, just get in and drive. Another great feature that this dash cam has is its ability to work at night without the need of IR LEDs. The camera uses a form of auto-exposure that enables it to record during the dark hours making sure you are covered at all times.
