Better Than KitchenAid Mixer
I own several KitchenAid (4.5qt, 5 qt, 6qt). None of them meets my expectation. Dough sticks to the hook. This mixer doesn't have defects of KitchenAid. There are two problems I would like manufacture to fix. 1) hard to clean. 2) too big for a family of four. I just need mixer to mix 1lb flour. However, the dough from this mixer is much better than KitchenAid, Kenmore, or Breville ( I have all of them). If you are serious about good eats, this kind of machine is the choice.

Hard to clean, No speed changing
I am giving this only a 2 star out 5 because unfortunately there is a few things that are negative. It is extremely hard to clean since you can’t open the top to incline the dough hook and therefore don’t have good access to the bowl itself to reach in there. If you have tiny hands maybe that’ll work with you but even then it’s barely. Also, it only works on one speed. Which means you can’t change any setting. I would say it’s set on speed 1. So when you need to start increasing the speed like for most recipes of bread, brioche or any kind of dough that you need a lot of elasticity for the dough to rise and ferment better.. you can’t really get that. You need to mix a very long time to get some good effect on the gluten hydration on the dough. Of course by then, the mixer starts to heat up and transfer the temperature to the bowl and therefore heats up the dough which is no good.I will say that it does what it’s supposed to do. It mixes well, the bowl rotates well, it seems extremely sturdy and heavy. But then the fact that you don’t have many options to clean or change speeds is a big problem.Especially since this is for “home use”. Because the bowl capacity is small. In conclusion, maybe I should have bought a big kitchen aid at that price. Or have invested more to get a better bread mixer.
