Simple Shelters: Tents, Tipis, Yurts, Domes and Other Ancient Homes

As stated by other reviewers, the book is let down by the small size, which means the diagrams are undersized and the print is difficult to read. Having said that, the detail and descriptions are wonderful - clear, concise, with easily understood diagrams, this gets my 4 stars (would have been 5 in a bigger size, say quarto.

Some of the annotations are very small next the drawn images of shelters. But apart from that, its small packed full of different shelters from all over the world. from rain Forrest to snow shelters. The only down side is that they seem to be quite complex the further into the book you go! by the end you could build a full house from.around the 1500's era

I really enjoyed this little book! Informative as to geographic origins with great illustrations. There is a lot of information for a smal book.It would make an Ideal gift. The quality of the book is excellent!The only down side in my opinion is the size of the print

An reference book to building ecological and environment friendly building. Explanation of constructions with detailed drawing! Back to basic in a very nice way! Excellent to build dens with the kids too and teaching them about building that can withstand natural disasters.

Excellent book, like the format and production as well as contents, but this does limit the size of the illustrations, which would have been easier if larger

This book inspires and amazes one. The ingenuity of the human race to put a simple roof over our heads. The illustrations a good and clear and the book is written in a simple clear way. Whenever I get the urge to build a little den or something, I usually have a look at this little book to get inspiration.
