Good value for the $
Inexpensive, very light-weight and very easy to install and/or move about if needed. The 40 watts is pretty bright so it really lights up an area. For the amount of money spent it's a good buy and will give good performance.

Far better than my T12 lights.
My garage gets quite cold in the winter and the normal fluorescent T12 lights will not light up on some days. One pull of the cord and these lights light up incredibly brightly for half the wattage that my T12 fluorescent lights produce, when they're working.I don't know what I was expecting when I pulled the cord for the first time on this but I was highly impressed with not only the amount of light but the light diffusion. This has an excellent diffusion projection, I don't find any Hollow spots or shadows.I'm going to grab another one and extend this out to where I can light up my entire old 1950s garage to make it far safer than it's ever been internally.Such an inexpensive price to pay for safety security and confidence that even on the coldest day this will turn on and light my way.

The brightness is great. I went without the frosted lens
I have been using for the past few days, and I can't complain. The brightness is great. I went without the frosted lens.I haven't tried daisy-chaining them yet, but that is going to be my next step.Installation was straight-forward.Package included links to hang along with S clips. It also included 2 mounting hooks with screws and screw caps for concrete.I already had a 1x4 nailed to my rafters in my tool room, so installation was very straight-forward.A chain dangles down to turn on/off.No complaints so far. It definitely puts out a great amount of light.

Bright and ready to use.
Bright and easy to use. Lacking holes for hooks for chain hanging.

Cheap
Would not have ordered this fixture if I had known it was cheaply made. It was suppose to come with something to hang it. Only got the fixture and instructions. Amazon used USP,not my preference on a delivery company. With USP you never know when it will be delivered.

lighting not consistent
At first the lights seemed great until I noticed yellowish horizontal lines instead of consistent daylight.

These work great as grow lights or shop lights, and I like the all white color and the pull chain
I used to find 4' LED lights with the same color temp and lumens locally for less money, but now they are not white but grey color or white with black ends, so I found these nice all white Maxximas on Amazon and have purchased over the last 10 months two of the 4' models and four of those handy 2' models - and no problems thus far. I overwinter plumerias, geraniums, etc. in the living room, bedroom, and garage, and I like being able to select either the frosted lens model (if the eye can see the tubes inside the house) and clear lens model (for the lights that are hanging low over seedlings and the eye cant see the LEDs). I find the pull chains convenient when I want to work under a particular light and temporarily turn it off while another on the same timer or wall switch remains on. Only negative so far is that amazon or whoever shipped one of the 4' lights did not pack it in a separate cardboard shipping box - they just slapped a shipping label on the manufacturer's standard weight box. The box was bent in the middle, but when I opened it I found that the bend didn't do deep enough to push in on the LED tubes, so all was OK. Whew! Also replaced my kitchen built-in florescent tubes with similar 5000K LED shop lights and am saving a bunch of electricity and no more replacing burned out bulbs or ballasts!

NO motion detector
This is the simplest, easiest, most intuitive utility fixture I have ever seen. The light is white and bright. I leave it on for long periods because it is so cheap to run.
