Debbie Brown's Fairy Tale and Nursery Rhyme Cakes

Like this Fairy Tale Cake Book, Debbie's books never disappoint. Her character's are whimsical, detailed and are a great inspiration for bakers learning or perfecting their craft. The illustrations of her professional creations are close-up and detailed with excellent tips and assembly instructions. I would recommend this book as an addition to any cake baker's cook book collection.

I'm a huge Debbie Brown fan and was delighted with this book. Her talent is simply amazing, but the cakes are more achievable than you think, once devised and explained by Ms. Brown, of course! Contrary to the earlier review, all the cakes ARE accompanied by photographs, or maybe I misunderstood the other reviewer...? I had purchased another fairytale cakes book prior to this by another author, but the quality of the cake designs are no where near on the same level of beauty as Debbie Brown's. These cakes are quite simply superb.

I liked this book.it has cakes recipes like Madeira Cake,Victoria Sponge Cake, Quick MIx Cake,and Pink Marble Cake as some Icing and Fillings Recipes. also you can find Techniques, Equipment you need, and Helpful Hints. Each cake Design has its own color page.and the step by step explained details, the only difference is that in this book the step by step you find are black and white drawings not pictures like in the new books, and sometimes is" just a little hard" to see them well but if you like all about decorating cakes and you like Debbie Brown's cakes Designs, it is a good book to have. Some of the cakes you will find here are "Cinderella"; "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"; Hansel and Gretel"'; "Rapunzel"; "Puss in Boots"; "The Three Little Pigs"; "Thumbelina"; and "Little Red Riding Hood" between others more.

Debbie Brown has such wonderful ability to transfer magical children's stories into cake art. She truly is a gifted lady. The book has clear instructions and pictures which make is very easy to recreate these stunning creations. Beautiful book.

The main reason i wanted this book because of the nightmare before christmas picture that is advertised to being in this book and was very disapointed when it was not there, its a nice enough book but it is very misleading having a picture of a cake that is not in the book. I hope no one else was tricked by this like I was.

Disappointed in this book. Not as detailed as I would expect and I would say not for a beginner.
