The chain can kink a bit if not stored carefully
These are great for grasping oddly shaped items under about 11" diameter. It can grasp very small items as well, but the excess chain can get in the way. There is enough adjustment in the vice grip to get the perfect amount of tension, whatever the job, and the chain comes well greased.

i haven't ever used this style of vise grip before but these are great. they were super adjustable and very easy to use.
