Title says it all - such a simple idea that works beautifully. For years I’ve made huge messes of my dining room table (sadly I don’t have any other flat surface besides the ground and that doesn’t work when it’s freezing outside).This mat is so simple and COMPLETELY contains the mess of repotting plants. Even my husband is happier without potting soil spread out everywhere. Buy it you won’t regret it. The time and pain of cleaning up a mess after each repotting has disappeared.

I never knew these existed!Was pretty excited to get mine in as I live in an apartment, and not on the first floor.So this was perfect for replanting plants into bigger pots.This has saved me so much clean up time!

It is a good size to use on your dining table kind of big for my kitchen counters. Maybe you have a big island. I found it a bit awkward to use with all 4 sides up so I put the side facing me down. I was trans potting orchids. Worked out as they are not real wet. Kept everything confined so I could dispose of the unwanted stuff into a large waste basket. The awkwardness with all sides up is the reason for 4 stars. I did put some water on it & it just sat there. So waterproof. Good for houseplants.

bought these to use for several stages in starting seedlings. 1-as a mixing box for planting medium to transplant seedlings; 2- used as a flat to put the 3”, and 4”, seedling transplants will they greew under lights for the upcoming planting season. I mixed my growing medium, and water, in these mats and they did not leak any water. I water the seedlings which are sitting in these mats, and again- no water has leaked. I imagine if I pushed my luck, overtime, they may seep but as of yet with regular watering I have had no issue.When it comes time to fold, and store, the mate clean up easy, dry quickly, and fold back into the square configuration they shipped in.These mats enables me to have the facility to plant, and repot, seedlings and cuttings I would otherwise been unable to start, as I do not have the space to set up a growing space.All in all, I will buy again when these mats eventually wear out.

I needed this potting mat years ago! It is very nice quality! The material is nice and thick! The size is perfect! Definitely not a flimsy tarp!I cant wait to use it tomorrow! It is going to be a mess free experience! It arrived quickly!

I've used this mat for a variety of things, from lawn cuttings and scraps, to repotting plants to having it in the back of the car, as a mat when buying plants, mulch etc. It saves me from having to sweep up after repotting. I just fold it and put whatever soil isn't used during potting, right back in the bag instead of sweeping it away so it saves in that regard as well. Mine is pretty large. I could use a bigger one as well!

- I like it, the hem is decent. It doesn’t feel cheap. The material feels nice to work with.- The snaps are fine. It isn’t super easy to snap/un-snap, not like a magnetic snap. It’s a firm snap. I just leave it snapped.- If you keep your old soil and new soil separate, you’ll need 2 of them.- I placed random tools in the photo to give a sense of size. I didn’t have a photo during repotting. I dump dirt right onto it, then fold it in half to dump the soil back into a bin.- You can see how the long edges don’t stand up, but it still works fine.- It’s got enough space to dump out a medium pot and get dirt off of the roots. That teal pot is 9.5 inches wide, 8 inches tall.CLOTH vs. PLASTIC TEXTURE- I bought a nice “cloth” one (this) and a nice smooth plastic-coated one (not this).- So far there’s no difference in floppy shape vs rigid, stand-up shape. They both need you to fold and press a crease into the tarp, similar to origami.- I worried the cloth-texture would grip dirt. But it’s smooth enough to let it slide off. I’ve used damp dirt on it, but not gotten it fully wet yet.CATI have a cat who likes to bite plastic and plastic-fabric (like cheap reusable grocery bags). So far she seems more attracted to the smooth plastic coated one, she hasn’t chewed on this fabric one yet.
