why is alcohol free so expensive
Fancy a delicious alcohol-free tipple? Citizen Spritz Bitter Orange Spritz could be your new favourite! Here's my take:What's Tops:Award-Winning Flavour: This spritz packs a punch with a zesty, bright bitter orange flavour. Perfect if you enjoy a refreshing drink with a bit of a tart kick.Natural Ingredients: All-natural ingredients are a big plus. No artificial nasties here, just good stuff.Non-Alcoholic Delight: Don't drink booze but still want to enjoy an "aperitivo hour"? This is the drink for you.Mind You:Pricey Per Pint: At £20 a bottle (as of April 2024) for 500ml, this drink isn't exactly cheap. It's a lovely treat, but the cost might make you think twice about grabbing one every day.Overall:Citizen Spritz Bitter Orange Spritz is a fantastic alcohol-free option with a bold, zesty flavour and natural ingredients. It's a brilliant way to unwind and enjoy a refreshing drink. However, the price might be a bit of a sticking point.

Great Taste
Love this. A fabulous alternative to sodas and water when avoiding alcohol. A grown up taste - not too sweet. Also bought the Bitter Orange one for my husband which went down well.

Expensive, tastes good but check the ingredients - contains sulphites
This is promoted as a non-alcoholic mixer so I tried it first with soda water and it is a pleasant drink - not too sweet with a bit of sharpness to it which I liked. I then added a measure of vodka to the glass and that was also a nice drink to have. I can see lots of possibilities for using it in cocktails and virgin cocktails. It is quite pale in the glass when diluted as directed so loses a bit of its visual appeal as it’s a beautiful colour in the bottle. The label says to store it in a cool place and use it in three months but as it has fruit in it, I’m going to keep it in the fridge.I had never heard of this product so looked up the company website and it says the drinks are crafted with over forty natural ingredients, which must be across the range as I counted twelve ingredients on the label including water. There are more ingredients on the bottle label than what’s listed in the description on Amazon with safflower, lemon, blackcurrant, carrot and preservatives (including sulphites which may cause allergies) now included. Please check the label in my photo. There is a disclaimer about how ingredients may different to those in the listing, but if I’d paid £20 for a bottle of something that I’m allergic to or planned on giving it as a carefully chosen gift to someone with an allergy, then I wouldn’t be happy. As an item in a luxury hamper, it would be a nice addition, as it looks attractive but it is a very expensive bottle of what is essentially a diluting fruit juice. It is a treat for me to have but at the current price of £20 a bottle it costs as much as or more than a bottle of many spirits and I wouldn’t buy it.I’ve dropped one star as the ingredients list in the listing is wrong and could be important to some, and another star for value for money as it is very expensive for what is a fancy bottle of squash.

If you like bitter then this is for you
Although it's a wonderful idea to provide a greater variety of non-alcoholic drinks, especially during the Christmas season, for drivers and non-alcoholics, this specific taste falls short of expectations. It works well in mixed beverages despite having an extremely bitter orange taste that some people may find too strong. Although I believe the flavour of simply the spritz and soda may be too strong for many people, it works well in more intricate mocktails. It is meant to be used with soda water. You may even add it to cocktails or prosecco if you'd like an alcoholic alternative. However, it is certainly an acquired taste. All in all, a sophisticated beverage best enjoyed by individuals who enjoy strong bitter flavours.

Delicious, rich and vibrant flavour from just a little bit of spritz
You only need a tiny amount of this spritz to produce a vibrant, authentic and rich flavour. It's very subtle with the different flavours of blood orange, from the sweet and sourness to the slight bitterness. The bottle is super cool, it has an elegant aesthetic and high quality feel, so it could make for a brilliant gift, or simply to play the part at dinner.

Posh cordial
This spritz mixer is very good. I ordered the pink grapefruit version which is very nice indeed, very fruity and full of flavour but also very sweet so is best added as a dash to some mixer like soda or sparkling water. I tried this with lemonade at first and found it too sweet.Quite thick and does contain sediment from the real fruit which is a little off-putting but is delicious. Great fruity twist addition to a cocktail or just enjoy as a refreshing spritzer. Contains no alcohol so adding your own is optional!A bit expensive at £20 (at the time of review) for what feels like to me is posh cordial. Grapefruit is also not my favourite either so would be interested to try some of the others available. Good product overall.
