Excellent build quality and excellent knee support/relief
I bought this Game Changer brace about 6 months ago and it is still in excellent condition after much use. I have a left knee that is in need of replacement. The brace helps immeasurably to give me relief when walking, golfing, cutting the lawn, working in the yard or on home projects. It really is a game changer for me. In addition, it is easy to fit and very comfortable to wear. I especially like the quick release system for taking off and putting back on. Excellent product and hoping it helps me avoid a full knee replacement for a few more years. I'm 60 years old, extremely active, and play hockey 3 times per week. I don't wear the brace while playing hockey, but may start. It may be a bit too bulky for wearing under my shin pad, but otherwise would be great support, I would think.

It really is a game changer!
On my second week and it really does offload pressure from my stress fracture in the joint (tibial plateau fracture). I can walk and move without pain. My only criticism would be to have more explicit instructions, it took me two frustrating days to really figure out what I was doing with the thing. I made an extra trip to the orthopedist just to make sure but by then I had it figured out. The In and Out terms were confusing, I thought it related to clockwise and counterclockwise when adjusting (which it sort of does), but “In” really means moving the center of the brace toward the inside or middle of your body which takes pressure off the inner or medial side of your knee and “Out” means moving the center of the brace toward the outside of your body which takes pressure off the outside or lateral part of your knee. I’m not sure I explained it any better but it’s worth the time to figure out because once it is properly adjusted, it’s really a great product.

Excellent braces for creaky knees!
This brace works as described and is just about perfect for my needs. In fact, it works so well I purchased one for my other (almost as bad) knee. I'm a level 9/10 alpine skier (former runner, competitive cyclist and powerlifter) whose knees have suffered from 50+ years of activity and these enable me to ski all day without pain. Thank you Ovation!

Works, IF this brace is chosen appropriately, adjusted appropriately, and used regularly.
Orthopedists will generally pooh-pooh such braces. They AREN'T as effective as a knee arthroplasty (or "replacement" for people with the problem for which this brace is appropriate - that is, osteoarthritis predominantly in one side of the knee - medial vs. lateral - and can be a bit of a pain-in-the-ass to fit, wear and adjust - but they can be useful to help get a few months of partial relief while waiting for surgery and doing some walking or work.I used this for my wife, and had some difficulty getting her to use it because fitting was a bit difficult and I couldn't persuade her to put up with it long enough to work out the basic adjustment - which is, how much to decrease the load on one compartment (the medial vs. the lateral) vs, the other. Then, a couple of weeks before the surgery but a month or so since I bought the brace, I nagged her into trying various adjustments long enough to assess the benefit. She finally agreed it did help "some" when she did extensive walking or chores. Now she's doing MUCH better after the surgery.

Not one size fits all. Straps are difficult to adjust properly since it is too big.
Brace was too big and I am past the return window. The straps are bulky and difficult to adjust properly to fit since it is too big for my knee.

Effective but ...
If you have other issues with your knees besides bone on bone (bone spurs) don't get this brace. I used it for approx 3 hrs and ended up having to take it off. The part that goes along the side of the patella is so hard that it left a bruise on my side of my knee. It did take the pressure of the medial part of my knee but was not willing to trade no pain for pain. Yes it was fitted properly and it stayed in place pretty good compared to some braces. I'm done trying to find a brace that will help my knee till I have surgery and I'm not willing to spend $700 for a different brace from some fancy clinic.

Relieved most of my pain!!!
I have 2 tears in my meniscus and a very large bakers cyst on my left knee. I work in an industrial manufacturing plant and im constantly moving, pushing 500 plus pound stock spools around during my 12 hour shift. The pain was getting unbearable while waiting on an appointment to finally see a surgeon. This brace is definitely a game changer. My pain has gone from a level 10+ to maybe a 1. No it didnt relieve everything, but i am able to work without hobbling around in extreme pain. Great build quality, easy to use and it works!!!!!!!

Keeps me playing pickleball
My knees are bone on bone which makes playing pickle ball difficult. My doctor recommended these. My first pair was provided under Medicare and were very expensive. When I wore them out after 14 months, I found these. My doctor told me they were the exact same brace. Once I got the adjustment set, I’ve been able to keep playing pickleball several times a week. The braces are light weight and come with an Allen key and bag. They have kept me playing!
