Great way to keep Rodents from Climbing
These spikes install easily and are a great non-lethal way to keep animals and rodents from crawling up or on things that you'd prefer them not to such as a bird house. I love my pets but I also love the wild birds and when I place a bird house I want them safe, even from my cats so these spikes placed along the pole will keep even the most curious cat from attempting to climb it.

Product works, dimensions are incorrect.
These bird spikes work, but are larger (higher) than the dimensions referenced in the product specifications. They are nearly 1-1/2” high… not .8”There is no mounting tape/hardware.

good
This color blends in well with my deck. I have some raccoons who decided to make part of my space a latrine. These alone did not deter them, they likely just stepped over it. But combine this with pellets to smell them away it works well. These are also good for keeping squirrels off areas as they can't step over them as well.

NO more mess and noise!!
We have a front porch and we love to sit out on quiet evenings, maybe with a soft breeze going, just relaxing and watching people and cars flow by and perhaps catching up with the neighbors. BUT for the last 2 years or so we've been plagued by birds and their nests nestled on top of the porch support beams. I'm not a fan of birds, not one to bird watch, put up/hang feeders and all that, yuck!! My opinion is that they're noisy, smelly, disease carriers. I don't mean to offend anyone, but that's just my view of them. Some people are dog fans, some cat fans, some bird fans.Well, this has solved my issues VERY quickly and easily! I wish I had known about these years ago! Because birds, they don't take the hint. They start building a nest and I remove it. They start building a new one, etc. etc., just a vicious circle. Now, lets see them build a nest on top of these spikes!Installation was VERY quick and easy. The sections of spikes are 3 rows across a total of 17 spikes per section, then each "row/section" is 3 sections long. They're scored and easily split from each other so you can easily customize the area you want or need. I used a few wood screws to fasten each section and viola', done! Practically instant bird deterrent!!I just installed them today, but I don't see how they can fail. Rest assured that should there be any issue I will update this review, but I sincerely don't believe that will be necessary.I highly recommend these to anyone with unwanted birds or squirrels or whatever.A+++++

Not the best bird nest deterrent
Installed these on some outdoor fixtures that birds like to nest on top of, the spikes seems to have given them better traction to build the nest.

Sharp and sturdy
We have had a big issue with house sparrows nesting in our backyard lights. This year we decided to do something about it. These come in long pieces that are segmented in threes. They have two places on each piece that is easy to break so they can be 1/3, 2/3 or full length. For our outdoor lights, we broke off one section and installed the pieces that are 2/3 length. We used zip-ties (not included) to attach them to the frames of the lights. We think these are going to work. Once the birds start building nests this spring, I will update my review as to how well they work. These seem very sturdy. The spikes do not bend and they are very sharp.EDIT: The birds have moved in. See the additional photos. We keep removing their nests and they keep rebuilding. These spikes do help deter a little bit, but it takes more work than just installing the spikes. Maybe we have extra persistent birds, but these are not working as well as I had hoped.

Keep the pests at bay
We use this in our garden to keep the Avians and small Mammals off our plants and veggies. They are plastic and came stacked together and attached by a thin plastic connector. So you just need to unstack them and break the plastic connector and place them where needed. Even though they are plastic they are sturdy and sharp ( stabbed my fingers a few times lol!) So far it has kept the pests off our plants and veggies. Only downside is since they are plastic and relatively lightweight, sometimes they can be blown off where we placed them during strong winds. Otherwise a great deterrent.
