Hooked it up to the computer, you can see and hear it running with my disk in it but how do I download the information?

CD and DVD support for a new laptop
As laptops have become thinner the CD/DVD drive has been eliminated. This is a problem for those of us who use programs that were distributed on CDs or DVD, such as CircuitMaker 2000 and Magellan's MapSend Topo 3D. And many games were also distributed on CDs or DVDs. This DVD reader provides the ability to install those applications again.The attached interface cable conveniently stores in a recess under the case so it will never be lost. The cable has both USB A and USB C connectors, which is handy because the single USB A port on my laptop is already used by the wireless mouse. The drive was immediately recognized by Windows 11, and program installations worked just like they did with an internal drive. File manager's “eject” worked as it should. I haven't used the burner yet, but I plan to create a CD with my favorite songs for my car.

Great external CD drive!
Not much to review but to say this works as expected and provides a CD/DVD burner to my computers that don't have access to physical media like previous computers. Fast and easy to use. I would recommend it.
