Very easy assembly, but pretty sturdy as well.
Had a lot of fun putting this together with my fiancé- only took about an hour or so to assemble, then we got to play with it. Very fun to turn the crank and spin around! Not huge, either, so it was easier to store than I anticipated.I was worried about how sturdy the pieces would be, as some brick brands tend to be a little flimsy- these held up very well, and we had no issues.A great gift!

Perfect gift for my 10 year old
This set is amazing. My 10 year old daughter is obsessed with lego, and also obsessed with science and space so this was a no brainer! The set was challenging to put together, but sturdy once completed. Unlike other Lego knock offs, these bricks are well built and there were no deformed bricks. Everything was included, and the instructions were easy to follow. It took her about 6 hours to build, and she displays it proudly. She didn't need my help which is a plus, and she really enjoyed the whole building process.Overall, this is a great lego addition for any fans and science nerds like we are. Well built, no deformed pieces, no missing pieces, and it looks beautiful. Highly recommend!

Impressive
I got this for my ten year old son, I homeschool him, and we did this together as one of his science projects. It was a fun build, but it does take a while to put it together. I think we worked on it for about two hours. The instructions aren't the best, but they are plenty good enough to get you through it. I checked when we started in case you're wondering, and yes these are a perfect match to the big brand. I think it's really well done and the motion is really cool, spins the moon and earth just right for kids to understand the basic principle of how it all works. This is a really good value, highly recommend!

Amazing Similar to the Name Brand!
My brother is a Lego geek, and this seemed like the perfect gift for him! It worked great! The bricks click together really well, and they even fit genuine Legos. The set is cool and packed with little gears! My brother loved it, and the finished product is a great conversation starter or display piece. The only issue we had was that the gear train bound up some, making the motion jerky. We fixed this by adding a strategic beam to the set, as my attached picture shows. It's an awesome set, especially considering the price!

Great gift for a science- and enginering-oriented kid (or adult)
I wish more Lego (and Lego-like) sets were like this. Not only is it a cool design to put together (I'm always a fan of building spheres out of bricks) but it has more interesting dynamics and mechanisms than even most "expert" Lego sets have. That's not to say it's particularly hard to put together; the instructions are good and each step is manageable. But the end result is a very complex gear that will teach your child not just about astronomy, but about mechanical engineering principles.I highly recommend this set for the budding or accomplished science geek alike.

Functions perfectly and looks great
My 14 year old brother had a blast building this, very comparable to big brand building blocks. The final structure is a bit bulky but it looks great and everything turns smoothly; things you wouldn’t expect to move, move, which is really satisfying. Overall, great fun and enrichment for kids, and nice to look at on a shelf for the long run

Fun and Educational
A great way to combine fun with learning. We are working together on assembling and talking about how a planet rotates. It’s perfect for keeping young minds and hands busy, while stimulating curiosity. I recommend this for young children who have a natural curiosity as well as enjoys crafts.

Fun little building brick orrery
The media could not be loaded. This was a fun little kit, there are just under 500 pieces. This has very thorough instructions that are easy to follow. Be sure to use the right gears, there are some that look very similar but are different. This caused me to have to back track in some spots. But after resolving that gear issue, the build went fairly smoothly. It took about 3 hours start to finish. This would make for a great desk decoration or gift to someone who likes space and binding bricks. These pieces have a decent tolerance where I've used some that have poorer tolerances and it causes fitment issues. Everything held together just fine. My one complaint would probably be in how the sun and earth are mounted, I wish there was more structural rigidity to hold them on. If you have a LEGO box, you can probably MacGyver a slightly better solution. After a bit of adjustment, the sun and earth stays on just fine. Note, I have no clue if the rotations are the correct ratio to earth, the sun, and moon but it is fun to watch. Note, my video is kind of choppy since I was recording with my phone and rotating with one have. The movement is actually quite steady.
