Desk, The Final Frontier, These Are the Ongoing Missions of the Starship Enterprise
Star Trek Eaglemoss Enterprise (TOS) Die-CastI have over a dozen of the eaglemoss star trek ships. Obviously I like them enough to collect them. I missed many of the earlier ships and have been adding them to my collection when I have been able to find them at a reasonable price.Thankfully Eaglemoss re-released their most popular ships in a new collectors’ box. This collectors’ series is at a very reasonable price range, so much so that if you have not tried out their ships, they offer the best introduction to the series.About The ShipFirst, I like the look and feel of the original series (TOS) Star Trek Enterprise. The model is true to the TV show. Mostly die-cast construction, my enterprise arrived in perfect shape and has a heavy feel to it. The display stand is firm and nicely showcases the ship while on my office desk. (For the record, I rotate one or two ships on my desk at different times.)Second, I previously had the Defiant and Yorktown; also TOS styled Constitution Class starships. The main difference is the “naval construction contract” number (NCC) and name. The Defiant is a glow-in-the-dark version of the models (which works well, thus being my favorite of the series). However, having all three of them next to each other really brings back a nostalgic feel from the old “Doomsday Machine” episode. I can literally hear the soundtrack to the episode when looking at the models. The model measures about 5” x 2.5”x 1.5” (length x width x height). It is roughly the same scale as the larger format Hot Wheels Star Trek ships. Unfortunately, the models are not in scale with other Star Trek Eaglemoss models. But they still make awesome pieces to inspire you while you work. These are heavy and do not feel like toys. They are models, and I’m afraid to chip the beautiful paint job. The overall attention to detail is amazing on the Enterprise. Port/Starboard running lights, windows in what appear to be the right places, classic 1960s styled star fleet pennant, etc. The underside is often neglected in most models. This is not true of the Eaglemoss Enterprise.About the MagazineSome people might not like the 20-page magazine. I never had the original release of the TOS Enterprise, but the magazine looks to be a smaller exact replica of that model’s magazine. Measuring 5.75” x 7” (compared to original magazines that are 8.5” x 11”) the font is still readable with my middle aged eyes (and forever 5-yr old imagination). Well written, this particular magazine features earlier sketches of the Enterprise. After decades of being a Trek fan, I learned something new! Cool! The magazine fits in the box, so magazine and model can forever be paired.About the New Collectors BoxMeasuring 6” x 7.75” the new collectors box is obviously slightly larger than the regular series 5” x 6.75” boxes. This could throw a monkey wrench when storing the boxes and models, however, it is well build and allows a view of the ship while still packaged. The box feels a bit better made than its smaller predecessor.Overall, I love what Eaglemoss has done. May the Enterprise’s ongoing missions continue to inspire you the way they do me!

Faithful Replica
Nice desk model with some heft to it. The nacelles are not level with each other but you only see it if you're looking for it and for the price you can't really complain.UPDATE: After seeing the nacelles were uneven due to the way the saucer section was connected to the neck that connects to the drive section, I applied a little pressure to the saucer and it snapped into place. The nacelles are STILL SLIGHTLY uneven however it is now much less apparent and the model looks good on the desk no matter the angle.Still highly recommend for anyone looking for a cheap but nice desk or shelf model.

Original Enterprise NCC-1701
The product is a perfect size for remembering the Star Trek Original Series Kirk's Ship, NCC-1701. Tilted at an angle to match the ship in space, it is well designed and well worth the purchase. I highly recommend the product for any Trekkie fan!

Captain Kirk would be proud
Love the Enterprise from Star Trek the Original Series and this reproduction by Eaglemoss is superb! A combination of die-cast metal and plastic, she has a bit of weight to her without being too heavy. The stand fits nicely and the book that comes with it is a great read. I would highly recommend replica for your collection!

Nice Enterprise model
I am a long time Trekkie and this model is very cool. The color is greenish. I thought it was going to be white. That’s the only downfall.

You have been warned.
This is an excellent sculpt, IMHO. I don't like the idea that it is referenced here and elsewhere as a "toy"... as it is quite fragile, and a dangerous mix of dense and light material. The price has almost doubled since my initial order. That order, like many others, arrived in pieces. The excellent picture packaging was undamaged. Return shipping will likely outstrip your initial purchase. Model builders may see it as an interesting reconstruction challenge. Fans will likely be frustrated, sooner or later. Very disappointed.
