NITRO KING Nitro Cold Brew Coffee Maker, Make Nitro Cold Brew Coffee Easily At Home

We had a mind-blowing nitro at a coffee shop this winter. It was so good. Naturally sweet, low acid, creamy mouthfeel and beautiful micro bubbles which lasted. We had to find a way to make it at home. After a bit of research, we landed on the Nitro King which promised the same results whenever we wanted.We like everything about this product ( good quality, nice size, easy to find cartridges, reasonable price) except for the coffee that it produces. It essentially turns cold brew coffee into bubbly foam. After pouring, the bubbles rapidly dissipate, leaving a flat cold brew coffee with a tiny bit of foam on the top. None of the nitrogen bubbles seem to dissolve into the coffee, or at least they immediately evaporate out. The result is that you don't get that magical, creamy mouthfeel, which is the whole point of nitro. I think the issues are that products like this use N20 cartridges instead of pure nitrogen, and they don't allow nearly enough pressure. The micro bubbles that make real nitro so appealing just can't be duplicated with N20.To be fair, I think the Nitro King coffee is about as good as Starbucks' nitro cold brew. Its also about as good as what we've gotten out of canned nitro. It does not compare favorably to the real deal, though.If you want foamy coffee, this is a good, reliable product. If you want to duplicate enthusiast-level nitro, you'll either need to buy a commercial setup with a nitrogen tank, or keep spending $6 a piece at a coffee shop.
