Aluminum ionized in gold patina.Used with ink to see if they work yes they do! You'll need to adjust the paint viscosity. It's nice. The handle comes off with a needle point to clean the orphous pipe out. Unfortunately the nib tip on one unit Was loose and fell out. Not happy about that but check your unit you may want to dab some glue beforehand!!!Wouldn't mind if they sent me a replacement unit wink wink, but I am happy with the one that works. I'm sure it works just as well as one twice the money.
