My son loves it
Good bright light for a hat. My son has a hearing loss and wears it at work. He feels safer around the vehicles so he's noticed by the driver.

A little tight on a large head
The circumference around my head at forehead level is about 23 inches. This hat was a little tight on me. Nothing real terrible and it may stretch the more I wear it but that's something I noticed right away. I will say the hat kept me warm. The light is an interesting addition. All three settings are pretty bright and it becomes an issue if you're standing face to face with someone in the dark. Your light is in their eyes. I primarily wear this hat when I'm out for a walk in the evening. I have the light on so cars can see me not so much for me seeing other things. The one time I lent it to someone to be able to read some instructions in the dark they put it on their head and then for the next minute or so we played a little game as they tilted their head down to put light on the paper and then tilted their head back up so they could read through the bottom part of their bifocal glasses, which took the light off of what he wanted to read. Eventually he just took the hat off and used it as a flashlight. What I liked:1. Felt warm while I was wearing it2. Rechargeable light, no messing with double and triple A batteries.3. Good battery life. I was able to wear it multiple times, multiple hours on Dim without needing to charge it.What I think could be improved:1. Make it a little larger2. Make the light settings Bright, Medium and Dim not Bright, Brighter and really Bright. So I guess that means make the dimmest and medium settings dimmer. You could probably just have a Bright and Dim mode.3. Add a slow flash mode for people, like me just out for a walk, and want to be seen.Something to think about if you're going to give this as a gift. If the person you're giving it to doesn't already wear some sort of beanie hat there's probably a good reason. Some folks just don't like the feel of them or don't want to mess their hair or like a cap with a bill on it to keep moisture off their glasses.

A warm, bright, light weight beanie
This beanie came in nice packaging (Photo 1). The only issue with the packaging is the light was glued down to the cardboard backing and it did not come off easily! The cardboard tore off of the packaging and was still attached to the light. I had to rub for a good 10 minutes to get all the goo off of the back of the light (Photo 2)!The light has a USB port that attaches into any USB charger. I had an old Samsung plug into the wall charger that I used to charge the light. The light while charging does have a red light that turns to a green light when it is fully charged. It took about 2 hours to fully charge (Photo 3).I tested the light out on my early morning walks. There are three light levels with the light High, Medium and low. My walks last for 45 minutes and I used the low setting and I went 8 days of use before needing to charge again . So six hours on low setting. Not bad.The low setting gave me enough light for walking. The high setting I like when I am working under the hood of my car at night. It gives ample light to see what you are doing while freeing up both hands for working. The beanie is light weight but is 30% Merino wool (Photo 4). We are not to below zero temps yet but we are in the low 20 degree F range and the hat is very warm. I actually like the lighter weight because it stuffs into my coat pocket and is always there when I need it.I did wash the beanie in the washing machine and hung dry. I certainly wouldn't put a wool hat in the drier. The hat came out clean and no shrinkage or damage was observed. I know the directions say hand wash only, but it is a beanie. Just remember it is wool and may shrink if not taken care of properly.I compared this hat to my wife's beanie she received as an EMT. This hat is a higher quality hat than that. It is comfortable and does not itch the head, warm to wear and has a long battery life, and a bright light that is always pointing in the right direction! The only two minor drawbacks are the glue holding down the light and you have to click through all the light levels to turn the light off. I know on other products once you leave the light at a certain level for a few seconds it sets it so the next push turns the light off. You will have to multiple press to get to the off.I highly recommend this product.

Could be better to charge but still good
The light charges with the PCB-USB-A adapter built into it which is better than micro-USB but it's definitely less preferable than just having a USB-C female port to charge through.
