Dreamnite Single Fitted Electric Blanket, Detachable Controller, Fitted Fleece Heated Blanket with Multi-Zone Settings and Timer Function, Cream

Product arrived well packaged, and seems to be good quality at first glance, but it really isn't up to the job. Firstly, and most importantly, it doesn't get warm enough! Even on the highest setting, it only serves to take the chill off a cold bed - it doesn't warm the duvet at all, and whilst it makes getting into bed on a cold night a bit more bearable, it's far from toasty. My old £40 SilentNight blanket did a much better job! Second, the instructions are ridiculous - other reviewers have already gone into this so I won't elaborate too much, but it does mention that the topper is either attached with strings or a skirt, when actually it's neither - it just has elastic straps at the corners, and we only just managed to get it attached to our king size bed. There's a lot of strain on the straps (the topper is smaller than the mattress) so I can't see them lasting too long. The cable connectors are about 6" in from the edge of the bed, so you will feel them if you, like me, are frequently forced to the edge of the mattress by a starfishing, flailing partner. The manual warns against putting heavy items like *pillows* on the matress while it's heating up (who has pillows on their bed anyway, right?) but apparently it's fine for a couple of adult humans to roll around on? The contols are confusing, and every time the topper is switched off, your settings are lost, reverting to level 9 heat with a 1 hour timer. This means that if you use a smart/timer plug like we do, it only turns on for an hour before the timer cuts out - whilst the instructions warn against having the bed on level 9 for more than half an hour (making the 1 hour cut off a bit ridiculous), it really doesn't get hot enough for there to be any imminent danger. It takes about 30 minutes to heat up anyway! If we don't happen to get into bed in the magic 30 minutes between the blanket heating up and the timer cutting off, it gets cold again very quickly. The sherpa cover and memory foam do make it comfortable to lay on if you can avoid the connector, so that's a plus, but I think we'd have been better off keeping our old heated blanket and buying a fuzzy matress topper to put over it. You live and learn!

excellent design in all respects. dead easy to fit just like a fitted sheet.individual controls are so simple to use and give you maximum versatility with 9 heat settings for both feet and body plus a timer. removable fleece topper which is a much better idea for washing as you dont have to clean the whole blanket. this fleece topper also makes it supremely comfortable as you cant feel the heating elements at all. possibly not the quickest blanket to heat up but lovely and toasty once it does,particularly on it's maximum setting

Very comfortable indeed - however it's not clear why there is a zipper up the central area as there's no mention of it in instructions and there's no central pad in package. It is a little slow in heating up but this is easily resolved by setting the temperature at 9 for the 1st 5 or 10 mins or so. The only slightly negative point is that under-mattress edge of the skirt is not very strongly elasticated and could possibly weaken with time but at present this is not a problem.

Great product that we use every evening now the winter nights draw in. We use Alexa controlled plug sockets so needed a product that would turn on when powered as well as separate sides as I don’t like to be too hot in bed but the other half does. It’s hooked up to our Meross smart plugs through Alexa and works like a dream. The bed is the right side of warm and fits around the king size mattress perfectly.

Heats up quickly and timer function ideal. Only downside is that connector on the side lays on top of mattress several inches in from the edge. If this was positioned differently it would get 5 stars.Good idea having removable fleece which makes it easy to wash.

Easy to set up and use. Need 2 plug sockets. Provides individualised comfort for two.Would buy same or similar again.

Bought this to replace our old electric blanket which had finally given up. I'm especially pleased with the fact that I can have my side on a lower setting than my wife has hers, and that the connectors don't dig into my shoulder (a particular bugbear of mine with the old blanket!) My wife gives a happy sigh every night as she gets into bed with the blanket switched on, which makes it well worth the money!

Never had an Electric blanket before, yes I’m 62....!..but now my wife and myself are wondering how we managed so long without one...! The great thing about this is the individual controls for each side of the bed and also for the top and bottom half of the bed...and it’s super warm...!
