I've been using the V3 for almost a year, wanted to try something different. This ASM burns cleaner than the V3 and also cleans up easier but doesn't smell yummy like the V3. :) People don't know the history, but the proof of pedigree is in the product. Amtech Manufacturing LLC = STIRRI = the best.

Worked great soldering battery wires.

This has to be one of the better flux on the market. Makes for clean and strong solder joints. I ordered the tub of flux so it has to be brushed on which is not a problem. I feel like I use less flux this way. It does have a bit of tackyness to it. So it holds smaller components in place a little while using hot air. It also cleans up nicely. Leaving little to no residue. Awsome stuff.

I am new to this flux and the reviews aren’t very clear about which model is better for certain jobs. I hand solder a lot and was looking for a quality solder at a good price. now this is a quality solder made by Amtech. It’s just their sister company but for my needs not the rite model per se for what I do. It’s more for automated soldering but does work just goes away quickly but deff works well with removing oxidization. Doesn’t really have any smell either
