UTGACCU-SYNC®High Profile 2PCs Picatinny Rings

I am using these for an air rifle application on a Diana 56th and for those of you who don't know spring piston air rifles [gas or coil] have a punishing recoil in both directions and will destroy scopes that are made for and do well on some large caliber rifles. So as you might imagine spring piston rifles will move anything with a little time. Why i like these rings they are light weight and they are strong and each ring has 3 picatinny rail stops per ring, but thy do go just about 2/3 of the way across however that does not matter as they are tight fitting and once in place and tightened allow zero movement The reason i mention the air rifle i am using is the 56th is a recoiless and that is has little felt recoil as the action is put on rails to keep recoil from having effect on pellet before it exits rifle, but the action & scope get to experience the recoil minus the rest of the rifle weight that in other rifles serves to dampen recoil and as a result these rifles are notorious scope breakers. These are picatinny only rings so for those who don't know while you can use weaver rings on a picatinny base the stop that fits in the slot is not as wide as the slot as a result most bases are picatinny while most rings and accessories are weaver so they can be used on both however it is possible for them to move within the slot. My personal preference has always been everything picatinny and on spring piston air rifles that is what i always use starting with a rock solid rail adapter if i must and everything except ring caps get blue loc-tite.All choices though are application specific and if i were not worried about weight i prefer steel or on varmint setups where i might want to mount light or laser on rings i use steel or beefy 6 bolt aluminum rings as i said depending on the application For me on my particular application i am having to use droop compensation and another riser in addition to these in order to get my current 4-16x56 a 16" scope and i plan to replace it with a longer scope possibly 60mm and one with a proper sunshade need the clearance over the loading port of this rifle with the scope in the best position puts the bell over the loading port. UTG is one of my goto brands and you get good value for the money spent and they make some great picatinny only rings. One thing i will mention while these rings when used cant fore or aft as a pair are identical and seem to line up very straight just as they should,but if you have ever used any pair if rings as close together as possible the closer they are they are going to magnify any alignment problem and i try a lot things just because so i canted in opposite directions with the bases right up against each other the worst for offset rings with completely expected poor results. Just works great, take scopes off all the time for classes or short range training, put them back on, bang rifle around through the woods and the scope is always true.

Item is well made althought i rate 4 stars because this was a returned item sold as new.The package was ripped off from one of the edges and some screws were loose.Apparently Amazon is selling some items as new but not true

I have several pairs of these in different sizes on different platforms and so far all have required little to no lapping and have lined up perfectly. I’ve used several more expensive brands as well as some of UTG’s less expensive models and I can say these have been the best for the money I have found.

Put this on a ruger pcc9 (9mm rifle) with a utg bug buster scope. The eye relief on the scope is horrible so it needs to sit back, but there is the added problem that the bug buster is a short scope....regular rings don’t cut it.These utg rings did the job fantastic! Installed “backwards” to bring scope back and it’s just right!

Very solid mounts at an affordable price put it on a 308 and it has held up well.

Bought this with the UTG Universal Dovetail to Picatinny/Weaver Rail Adaptor.This set up allows me to mount my scope far enough back to get comfortable cheek weld.Also used a slip on comb riser for proper eye sight hieght.Had no problem mounting rail,didn't need to spread rail on the mossberg.Put rail into place so it wouldn't obstruct bolt lift.Tightened to recomented poundage.Mounting utg rings bottoms and dropped in scope alignment bars.They lined up perfect,then mounted scope.These are a little high but they will work.This set up feels really solid.
