I wanted a lightweight BEDSPREAD, but this is really the density and weave of a very lightweight BLANKET. The quality (if you need a lightweight blanket) is excellent, and its great to have a truly woven 100% cotton product. But the photo makes it look much more substantial that it is in reality. Weave is so soft and loose that it transmits light easily if held up to light, and I don't call that a bedspread density. Wish this was the density of the traditional Matelasse bedspreads I have found in the past but can't seem to find today. Still gave it 4 stars because of the quality, but it really is a misleading picture.

I love this bedspread. We live in Arizona and hardly use a blanket let alone a comforter even in the winter. This bedspread is the perfect weight for our needs. It is 120x120 but after washing it lost maybe 4 inches total which was just right for our sleigh bed height.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BEDSPREAD! Here’s what happened after I followed the washing instructions and laundered it on delicate cycle with cold water and dried it on the delicate cycle with a low temperature. Prior to washing, the bedspread touched the floor. As you can see in the picture, it shrunk tremendously and can no longer be used. Plus the material is very thin and light weight. Very disappointed.

I need to start with the cons this time. The design is heat pressed rather than sewn. Heat pressed designs are more likely to come apart than sewn mattelasse. Unfortunately, looking for products on Amazon leads one down a rabbit hole. Using queen size, mattelasse, and cotton as search terms bring up an overwhelming assortment of sizes, heat pressed designs rather than sewn, and fabrics other than cotton. At least I got the cotton right in ordering.On the bright side, this is a nice cotton fabric In a true bright white. The queen size hangs down a fair amount on my queen 15 inch mattress and box spring. The length is sufficient although I cannot cover the entire top of the bed and have enough overhang at the bottom of the bed.The pillow covers just barely fit my regular-sized pillows. If you have particularly fluffy pillows, these might be a problem. There is, however, a sewn-in flap on the inside to tuck the pillow in.In the photo, I have taken the bottom corner tips of the spread and tucked them a bit under the mattress to keep the fabric off the floor.The spread and pillow covers look great on the bed. If the heat pressing holds up over time, I will update the review with another star.

I don’t know why, but “luscious” is the word that comes to my mind when I look at this bedspread. I am fussy about fabrics, so when finding something this cool in 100% cotton makes me very happy. Great price too. I wanted something cooler on my bed for summer. I would call it a “medium weight” blanket. I chose white because again, summer. A lot of my stuff is really dark, and it was getting oppressive feeling. The white solved that. People are right about the size being funny. It’s a bit long at the sides (full size and full size bed), but it’s not an issue for me at all. This bedspread made my little summer dream come true!Edit: It isn’t long when you make the bed “pillow tuck” style.

This is the second matelasse spread I've purchased from Superior. They are heavy enough to hang well on the bed, but not too heavy for summer sleeping under. The mandarin color is more vivid than the picture, which looks like a clay pot/terra-cotta on the 3 devices I checked it on, but I kept it because it's cheery and I like it! I bought a king for a tall queen bed. Once washed and dried, it was just the right size.

I absolutely love this top cover! It is very soft and aesthetically appealing, and it is definitely oversized which is exactly what I wanted. Finally I don’t have to fight my husband for what little edges of covers we have left. I’d highly recommend this blanket.

I ordered this bedspread in grey and it was a little more blue-grey than charcoal grey, but the quality is absolutely fantastic. Many matelassé coverlets are a little on the stiff/scratchy side, but this one is thick and soft and really quite lovely. I like it so well that I'm ordering a second one in another color, it is absolutely worth every penny!

I couldn't be happier with this purchase!!! This bedspread is very soft and just the perfect weight to ensure a comfortable sleep. For the winter I just have a cotton sheet and fleece blanket under it. It's a crisp white colour and very elegant. Not only does it look beautiful with the pretty pattern on it but it drapes right to the floor on our Endy King Bed, which is exactly what I spent months looking for! The pillow shams are equally beautiful with their large size and opening at the end which makes putting the pillow in so much easier and they look perfect front and back. After many months of searching and reading hundreds of reviews I believe I found exactly what I was looking for and I'm thrilled with this purchase!!! Delivery was fast and my package was placed safely in our mudroom per the message on our door.

This was an absolute joy to receive. It's exactly what I was looking for. Light weight, perfect sage color, perfect everything. For those of you who still like the look of an old fashioned bedspread without an ensemble...this is for you. I don't use the sham although can if I ever find a need to. The length is 'spot on', and it has a very pleasing pattern, and is perfect almost touching the floor on all sides. For anyone looking for a great deal and bedspread, you should consider this. I myself am 100% happy with this purchase, and I think you will be too.

Bedspread arrived early and as advertised. I ordered it for a Q/S bed and it is large but what I wanted. I washed it in warm/cold water and dried it in a hot dryer and it did not shrink very much, if at all. Looks great on my bed. Well worth the price.

So hard to find something that hangs over the edge of a king size bed. This does then trick. Wish it can in more colours.

Washes well. Fits properly, drapes to a couple of inches off the floor on sides and bottom. Beautiful and good summer weight.Very pleased would buy again.
