Greatest licorice
This is by far my most favorite licorice because it is soft, great taste, easy to chew and swallow.

Deliciously soft licorice, almost always.
Oops, looks like someone fell asleep at the wheel. Check your dates, the best before date on this bag is 24 August 2022, yes the year 2022 (today is 19 Feb. 2024) so I'm not reviewing that bag. But I have had this brand of licorice many times both strawberry and black and they are absolutely delicious and very soft. Good on ya mates!

Seriously? 8 bags for $4 and change? Nice...
I have to be honest here. I was buying some items off a Amazon gift card and didn't want to leave it w/ less than $5, so I decided to get a small treat (i.e., candy). I was only expecting A bag, so imagine my surprise when a box of 8 showed up!As for the product itself....I need to be honest here as well and mention I never had soft Australian licorice, just Twizzlers (and Vines, don't know if that counts). When I first opened the box (smell is amazing) it felt hard, however it was very cold outside so I gave it some time and it did soften up. Thing is, how do I judge it's softness and taste since I have nothing to compare it to? I'll take up the negative points in other comments. Is it hard as a rock? Not even close. I easily bend or twist a piece in half, tho I can't squeeze it flat between my fingers like a marshmallow. It is softer than Twizzler bites and Nibs if that helps. I have no problem with the texture at all (but again, I am not comparing to anything). Is it flavorless like some are saying? IMO it has TOO MUCH flavor lol. I love sweet but this is a bit too sweet, even for me. The first few secs. it's perfect but once you bite it you get an explosion of strawberry sweetness...which may be a good thing for some people (taste is so subjective)...for me, too overwhelming. For reference, I can eat a 1lb bag of Twizzler nibs or bites in one sitting. What? I'm only said I could, not saying I did (hehe I did).I wish I could be of better help. For less than $5 (what I paid) it was worth it, it certainly wasn't unedible. If I gift half the bags and eat a piece or two once in a while, imo, it will be well worth it. They need to make it w/ less sugar (not just no sugar), the amount in one piece and/or one serving is insane!

Delicious
Soft, not sticky, and tasty. Also, no palm oil used and that a plus for anyone interested in helping save orangutans and their habitat.

Great licorice!
This brand is my absolute favorite brand of licorice. I usually get Strawberry, but I bought this green apple for my girlfriend, since that is her favorite flavor. It's good, but not as flavorful as I thought it might be for green apple. The strawberry has such a full flavor and just what I would expect. I just knock it down one star, because I like a really tart green apple flavor, and this is very mild. Wonderful product, though, and it is natural so I understand that's what candy tastes like without a bunch of extra flavoring. They won't lose any money on my account, however. I'm ordering another case of Strawberry today!

Ingredient list has changed :(
Just an FYI for those of us with food allergies who have to read labels very carefully. Here is what is listed on the website.Wheat Syrup, Raw Sugar, Wheat Flour, Treacle, Modified Food Starch, Palm Oil, Artificial Strawberry Flavor, Citric Acid, Artificial Color (Red Number 40), Soybean Monoglycerides As An Emulsifier, Salt, Licorice Extract. Here is the _actual_ ingredient list from the liquorice package:Raw Sugar, Wheat Glucose Syrup, Wheat Flour, Water, Cane Sugar, Modified Food Starch, Palm Oil, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, Black Carrot Extract, Mono- & diglycerides, Salt, Liquorice Extract, Sodium Bicarbonate."Natural Flavor" tends to be either milk or corn based--my daughter has sensitivities to both, so we try to avoid "natural flavor". The original list had only artificial flavorings, which she does all right with.I'm sure it tastes just as good as every one sounds (I can't try it myself, since I have a cane sugar intolerance), but I'm very disappointed that what I bought is not what I thought I was getting. :(

THE CASE OF THE MISSING LIQUORICE
I LOVE this soft, fruit to taste, chewy, long lasting taste in mouth liquorice. I really like the way it is packaged. I am able to fold the bag down and whenever I decide to get another piece, it is just as fresh as the first piece upon opening. My granddaughter came over, we opened a bag and ate the whole bag, I had to get to the bag before her because she would eat 3 to my one piece. Two days after she left I went into my box to get a new bag and found it was opened. My granddaughter later on that day after we had finished the bag had opened up another bag and gotten her some out, closed the bag and put it back. I told her about it. She apologized to me with the excuse it was so good. Well I forgave her. I did however let her know that I always order this candy online when I get down to my last 2 bags so I do not run out. She understood. All is forgiven.
