Great product that makes your tiling prep soooo much easier
Let's start off by saying this is not Ditra.. it will often times pop up when you search for Ditra and I'm sure there are folks who have bought it thinking it was the Schluter brand. BUT, if you can just get past the brand name...this stuff is great and virtually indistinguishable from the Ditra line. It's super-easy to install and makes the whole process soooo much easier than using hardie-backer or other backer boards. It cuts cleanly with a utility knife and extremely easy to cut around difficult corners. I don't think I will ever go back to a backer board if I can avoid it.You will use more thinset due to the square abcesses in the material, but, otherwise...no difference in install.

Good under-tile system
I've used this all over my house as an under-tile system. My house has lots of non-right angled walls, and it has been very easy to cut (with the kitchen scissors) and install to fit those finicky spaces.

Good Product
I had a tile floor installed in the bathroom and the worker applied this barrier as it has 2 purposes 1. to keep water from going into the subfloor and 2. keep the tiles from moving 3. Keeps tile from cracking (stress cracks)due to a potential uneven floor. So I understood the need. Then I saw the same product being used on 2 of those HGTV design shows and they too indicated the same reasoning. I still asked around to some other local installers and they too confirmed the use/need. Anyhow the floor is solid and work continues on the bathroom

Exactly like Ditra but cheaper.
I've used Ditra for years, this works exactly the same, and is made of exactly the same materials. The ONLY difference I can see is that this is cheaper.

Definitely not the Quality of Schluter Ditra
For the price this material inferior to the Schluter product. My tile contractor had already installed this product before I noticed. We had some left over Schluter from previous project and significant difference. It is hard to describe but this product is much flimsier than the Schluter. The plastic used is thinner and is more transparent then the Schluter. For the money Schluter is not that much more expensive and recommend to not use this product. I only bought this because I was under a time crunch and I would receive it quickly vs the Schluter. But next I will just wait......

Works easy
This membrane is a must use for tile applications that are over any wooden or even concrete substrate. Easy to use. Just cut to shape set with thinset ensuring a good complete coverage by placing and checking by removing and eyeballing the two surfaces. The set your tile like you would normally. This ensures the flexibility to prevent cracking from any give in the wood or reflective cracking over concrete.

Not The Real Things
I don't know where I went wrong. I was shopping for the real thing and then I must have saw what I thought was the same product for $20 cheaper and I went for it. I was buying the 320+ ft roll so the money was only a 6% savings. I would have not done it. I have missed my return window so I will have to use it. It does not seem as strong as the real thing. I hope it works and I hope I learned something.
