Excellent fusion of styles.This is episode 2 of the Surfbot Action Adventure Series, with fun characters in a world of surf, summer and waves.It's easy to read, entertaining and fast.I think kids will love it. And what I appreciate most is that the drawings feel real and stylish.Recommended.

Throwing conventional comic and storybook page layouts out the garbage hatch, the Surfbots wows with bright primary colors, Dutch angles, constant movement, and amazing two page spreads. Also, it’s a bonkers story. Totally rad comic. Grab it for the 2nd grade weirdo in your life!

Another great educational action adventure story by Sascha Utecht featuring the surfbots superheroes!In this book the surfbots have been given exciting background stories. Their current mission involves helping the environment.The texts are easy and fun to read (aloud, too) thanks to the many well-placed speech bubbles. The reading level 2 specified by the author is a good fit. The narrative is nicely supported with lively and colorful illustrations.This book, like the first, has an additional puzzle page and finishes with interesting facts about plastic waste. You don’t have to have read the first book before reading this one, but why not?!

I surfed for many years and am visiting my family in laws for the holidays. I thought it would be fun to read a surf story with my nephew who has never been to the beach.Grabbed Surfbots thinking robots and surfing.... The art work is amazing and we had a great time pointing at items in the artwork.
