In our new home it took a matter of weeks for our dog to figure out how to open the trash/recycling cabinet and take things out to chew on. I installed one of these locks and it has thus far shut him down, and he is very strong and persistent, so I would confidently recommend these for securing drawers/cabinets against small children. I had to mount the lock on the side wall rather than the top due to a lack of trim for this particular drawer, but the product was still easily installed and works as expected.Our favorite feature for these locks is the convenient "off" switch that enables us to disable the magnet while we are home to find the key every time to put something in the trash/recycling. This will also help with the long-term usability as we already lost one adhesive pad when it was left on and a guest forced the door open (with great effort I am told). In this unexpected situation, I was happy that the lock adhesive gave way before causing damage to the cabinet.

These were really easy to set up and install. However, you need to be aware that if the area where the plate/latch (the part that mounts inside the cabinet, not on the door) is unfinished wood (bare, not smooth) the 3m tape will not effectively keep this part mounted. The tape is designed for smooth surfaces. I installed the locks as per the instructions, then used the already present screw holes to drive some screws into the cabinet.They don't seem all that sturdy. But I'm hoping that by the time my son is old enough to rip them open, he'll know better than to drink the chemicals in the cabinet.DON'T LOSE THE KEY! Or, if you do, just go buy a stronger than average magnet.

These locks are great! I loved that the installation process was very simple and I was able to do it on my own without any hesitation or issues arising. No tools necessary!! I've used other locks and they were much more difficult to install and were really annoying when I had to open or close the drawers or cabinets. I put 4 stars for durability because I've only had these a couple weeks, and although they're working well, who knows what could happen in the future. And just a suggestion and personal preference, a variety of color options would be nice (I have dark cabinetry, so dark-colored locks would have been nice). Overall I love these though and would recommend!

We love these baby proofing locks! Highly recommend them! They were super easy to install and easy to use. They are very durable - the have no issue at all withstanding our child pulling on them to try to open the drawers. We did have an issue with the installation tool. It broke after one use. We contacted the company and they sent us a new set extremely quickly. Awesome customer service! We really like these locks and will definitely buy them again if we need more or move.

I love that the key is big enough that I don't have to worry that my daughter will swallow it if she finds it/ it is big enough that if it drops or she gets ahold of it we can easily spot it. I like that they are easy to install and are a 3M sticker instead of having to drill a hole in the cabinets like many baby locks. They open easily and are easy to install. Not only have we used them in the kitchen but also the bathroom and craft room to keep our curious daughter away from things that could hurt her.

I absolutely love these locks. I have tried many different child safety locks and these have probably been my favorite. The installation tool that comes with your order was extremely helpful. This is the first set of safety gear that I’ve ever used with something like that. I do however wish the installation tool had some more instructions on how to use it as it took me a little bit to figure out exactly how it worked.I also like how the “key” tool has a magnetic mount, which I was able to put right next to my sink for convenience. The lock also has a disable feature which I haven’t ever had with any other baby safety locks in the past. The locking mechanism has also been working great so far without any issues.Overall I think this product was fairly easy to use and install and would highly recommend this product.

The media could not be loaded.  I recently purchased these locks because my kids were getting into everything! ((Including the medicine cabinets)) Of course, I do not want them in those cabinets whatsoever, but luckily there was nothing really up there at this time but still I want them to be safe. I have tried multiple baby proofing techniques, but unfortunately they have managed to get into every single one of them. These are so much safer because you actually have to use a key to open them. I placed them on both medicine cabinets, and they latched with ease. The one downside to these is they do not always open on the first try with the key, but maybe with practice that will get better. Installation was easy after carefully looking at the instructions. The installation tool was a bit confusing but after the first one it was a breeze! I would highly suggest something like this for anyone with kids like mine, who cannot stay out of ANYTHING! .. UPDATE: I have learned that if you listen for the sound the door opens at ease I just wasn't putting the magnet on the right spot initially!

When I first got the product I thought, wow this will be a great way to keep my kids out of the cabinets. Unfortunately I was rather disappointed with it.The paper directions were very hard to understand I actually had to look up how to Install it via the video they listed. Luckily the video made it easier.The second issue I had was removing the sticker on the product, it took 10 min for me to finally get it off.Third the product didn’t work, I put them on and they would t lock. I tried different cabinets and all same result. I was rather disappointed
