The holy grail for small video production power solutions
I am a very small video production company. Sometimes, I have a crew of 6. Sometimes, it's just me. Sometimes, I shoot feature films. Sometimes, I shoot small interviews. So I'm constantly building and re-building rigs and trying to find the smallest, most convenient way to power everything I need. This adapter is probably the most important thing I've purchased in the last year. With one adapter, I can power a monitor, video transmitter AND provide power to my Sony cameras from the USB-C output. Also, I can build a 7" director's monitor that powers the screen AND powers and mounts the video receiver. No more constantly changing out batteries to two or three things and wobbly mounts.Additionally, my rigs are built tighter and with fewer cables to manage. There's no telling how long something like this will continue to function, or the reliability of it yet. But for now, it solves or refines a bunch of issues I've had and I'll continue to test it for different applications and builds. For now, this is a perfect product and as long as the monitor mount is strong enough to support the monitor AND transmitter, it gets a SOLID 5 our of 5 stars.

Where has this been all my life?
I saw this on a YouTube video, and it blew my mind! I can't believe I haven't seen this before now. Solves at least two problems for me and saves a lot of weight and mounting points on my camera. Works really well. Love it. Probably my favorite purchase of 2023.

Makes setting up my wireless HDMI easier on my rigs!
I started to run out of power options on my cameras when running my wireless HDMI for a director's monitor, then I found this double-sided NPF adapter. Fits perfectly for my Z CAM with v-mount power and lets me power the transmitter via the second NPF mount.

Solves Problems I didne even know that I had!
This is a handy little solution to help power your video/photography rig. I love how it is able to work as a dummy NP-F550 battery while also powering devices through a USB- C... all in a small compact form. It is such a handy design you wonder why you never thought of it sooner. The design is pretty simple - you connect the D-tap into a power source and then you can use each side of the dummy battery to power a device *PLUS* the onboard USB C that is on the outside edge of the device. This one adapter can actually power up to three devices at one time. I it find this to be especially helpful on my camera rig since I can use it to directly power my monitor and my wireless receiver with one adapter.

Great for monitors
For longer shoots I was having to change my batteries on my brighter monitor and this allows me to shoot all day and not have to change anything since I'm powering off my larger V mount battery. Seems well made and I lookforward to many years of usage.

Excellent power solution
A great solution for your monitor or wireless video transmission kit that takes Sony NP-F batteries. You can easily run into a p tap on a v mount or gold mount setup to power your display device which means fewer batteries in your kit and less time worrying about swapping out for power. The coiled cable is very long and will neatly aligned itself with larger and smaller rigs with no problem. So far I've had no issues and I've been rolling with this for about 2 months now. Great kit addition. I recommend.

Such a clever idea, three device power in one
I didn't even realize this adapter integrates a usb-c power port on itself as well. You can power three devices simultaneously. It works great when both your monitor and wireless receiver can be powered via a NP-F style battery, then you just sandwich this adapter in-between your monitor and receiver. Takes care of the receiver mounting option as well! Then the usb-c port is still open so you can either charge your phone or power your wireless hand controller if it allows for usb power. Just a great little tool to streamline your set up. One less component one less point of failure. Seems to be pretty well build, hope it also last for a while.

Really nice little bit of kit.
This is a really nice little thing to have in your gear bag. It allows me to power 2 things from a D-tap power source...so, imagine, on one side, you have it plugged into a video light, on the other side, a monitor screen. Very nice to have, even if you use it 1-sided (which, of course, you can). I tested this with v-mount as well as gold mount batteries, and it worked fine with all of mine. One of the little quips I like to make is that I shoot Canon cameras, and so I have accumulated a lot of Sony batteries, lol. The simple fact is, there are a lot of gadgets and gizmos out there, from lights to monitors to any number of things, that run off Sony NP-F batteries. And no matter WHAT you shoot, you might find yourself accumulating Sony NP-F batteries. This makes a great substitute / add on, whether you tie into a D-tap power supply or use a V-mount or gold-mount battery. It worked pretty well for me, and provided it lasts it's a no-brainer investment. I could even see owning a few of these.5 stars.
