Adobe Dreamweaver Creative Cloud Revealed

The book looked to be very good and I was going to use it in the fall at the local college. However, after finding out that Adobe charges $10.00 per month when using Dreamweaver CC - I dropped the class and returned the book.

I really like the way it walks you through the build and gives you the data files to complete the projects. More emphasis on "building" than "creating."

this book is well planned and well structured. BUT Cengage has not updated it since 2015 and it is miserably out of date. We cannot afford to be learning 2015 software. This is 2o18. Indefensible on their part.

I bought this book for class, and within a month of its release date it was already outdated. Out teacher assigned us to do the tutorials for homework which was challenging because the directions did not work for the current version of the software. Luckily we only had to do 5 chapters, but near the end my Blooms and Bulbs and Striped Umbrella websites started to become messed up. I'm rather upset that I spent so much money for a book that was outdated within a month of it's release date.

Book is well written, lots of details. Unfortunately, Dreamweaver has updates every few months and the newest version doesn't mesh with this book. Unless they change it again, the version I have doesn't have the "design view" which is the view you can work in to change the set-up of the webpage. That makes it tricky to merge vertical cells in a table, or do some things in online Forms, but if you know code, you can still do it. The shortcuts are just not there. Chapter 5 was difficult to follow, even my instructor had some changes for that chapter. The book helps people who have version 5, I think. It's set up with explanations, than exercises with explanations, than more exercises and assignments. Pretty good for the older version(s), but not very friendly for the newest.
