Good looking side plates
The stock sp101 side plates are plastic with a hard metal center. At least on mine, the center nut was raised above the plastic and was razor sharp. I could have filed it down smooth, but being a traditionalist, the wood looks so much better and fits so much better. On my example, the checkering was sharp and accurate to the edges. Not cheap, but well made.

Wood inserts
Inserts fit good , like the looks on the black rubber grips and the stainless gun !

Impressive!!
Craftsmanship is excellent. Detail is crisp. I like the fact that the screw is black so that it doesn’t show as much. These inserts are slightly rounded so they present a more comfortable feel as compared to the flat stock plastic inserts. You won’t be sorry for buying them.
