NSKN Games Shadowscape Board Game

This game looks cool and has the exciting prospect of being a small dungeon crawler. Unfortunately there’s such an outstanding number of issues with it that I couldn’t recommend it to anyone.Firstly, your starting ability cards are the strongest. You can get other ability cards but you’d only ever do that to fill out a gap like having more magic in your kit. This is rarely worth it. This super sucks because you don’t really feel like you’re getting stronger despite the fact that you should be. The items and stuff are fine. The attempt at the simple “AI” is admirable but it acts so stupid that I wish they had just put in something else. Mine had a printing glitch that lacked a shrine completely. The rules are meh and its just not good. There’s an expansion that literally does not fix a single one of the any number of problems with the base game.It looks cool but it’s a very solid pass.

So so game. Not memorable, but not bad either
